Description
Honestly ended up more focused on the texture and sound design woops but hey hopefully you'll appreciate it nonetheless. I took the prompt weapon of legend in a direction more geared to "the greatest weapon is knowledge." In my mind I picture a sci-fi revolution in a distant future. In the midst of their climactic battle, a small band of the revolutionaries uncover a legendary archaic text in a lunar cave. In the text they are granted the greatest wisdoms and ancient power to conclude their warfare.

I like the sci-fi and ethereal feel of the track. The warped and distorted background sounds are really cool and create a nice sense of tension. It pulls you in, and it’s well put together overall :)

ahh Cowchy I'm so sad there wasn't a stronger melodic focus in this only because this deserves to be super highly rated in most any other jam. I love the soundscape you've made and the textures and rhythm just feel super strong. It's a shame but still you put out an awesome track!
Haha I appreciate the praise. I wish I'd had some more time to work on this, but despite kind of missing the whole point of the jam, Im glad the reception of the track has been favorable. Yeah, could've been a bit more melody focused, but still has a really nice atmosphere and is one of the few sci-fi takes of the theme in the jam amidst all the fantasy medieval stuff.😄
Melody stuff aside, this is still really good!

Crazy synth work at the begining, lovely pads later on and then the calm drums with this heavy bass synth that js the cherry on top. Great job!

Very immersive and cinematic, the sound design scratched just the right part of my brain, I could totally see this as a soundtrack. Amazing work on the ambience ! I want to see more of your work.
However as you said, the melody doesn't seem to be the main focus in this track. It's there and clear, but doesn't develop very much and stays in the background. Feels more like an ambient track than a leitmotif track.

I really like how Ambient this soundtrack sounds like... Very nice. TBH though, it sounds very far from the challenge's theme, but I still really like this overall! I might actually just listen to this song on loop sometime...
