A good game and definetly creative. Small issue: the game only wants to start on my 2nd monitor.

Developer

We will acknowledge this issue, but still; thank you so much for these kind words and for playing!

as both a brazilian and a sucker for rhythm games, i have to say the bossa nova soundtrack is GORGEOUS, i didn't even felt locked in or concentrated on the game, but i was flowing on that soundtrack and hiting the timing automatically. great work, my favorite from the jam so far, 5/5.

Thank you so much for playing!

Thank you so much!!! I don’t actually know any Portuguese so writing the music for this was a fun challenge! I love bossa nova tho and had a friend help with lyrics, then I learned to pronounce the phonetics right. Glad you enjoyed it!!!

thats crazy, hearing the lyrics i couldn't figure out it wasn't a brazilian singing because there was no accent at all! great work

Developer

Thanks!!

phenomenal music and art! minor complaint is that I wish there was more variation to the rhythm game itself(multiple lines of flowers/long hold maybe?) but otherwise very cozy! I felt like i was floating through the soundtrack

Developer

huge thank you for playing! I’m glad you enjoyed the music. I had a blast making it.

I have to say, the art style and environment (backgrounds) created are phenomenal! The UI wasn't scalable; it wouldn't zoom to fit my screen's resolution, but regardless, I enjoyed the beat, and I admire the music! I wish there were more levels of harder difficulty; the gameplay was too simple, and a bit of challenge would've been awesome! That being said, I'm a big fan of Petalia as a rhythm game, and I would love to see future updates and newer levels! Superb game!!

we’re hoping to add some more complexity and depth to the game post-jam. Since we only had 3 days we were only able to implement what we have in this build.

I wasn’t a part of the development but I did the music. I’m glad u enjoyed it!!

As usual, MyaMusical absolutely killed it, Pirmavera song was big! GG to the whole team, great game!

The soundtrack is excellent. Even though I struggled a bit to keep up with the pace, I really enjoyed the experience. Great job!

Developer

2 Positives and Negatives:

Positives:
- The artists did a great job!! The background art and menu screen looks especially great
- Initially I had troubles with timing, but realized it was just a skill issue. Nice job on being able to make the timing just right! I could imagine rhythm games having lots of issues with BPM and timing of input

Negatives:
- The music sounded quiet for me, had a hard time listening
- This really shouldn't be a negative for a 3 day jam, but might as well add it since I got nothing else negative to say: there's only 1 level, so I wasn't fully able to see the full potential of this game, but it's nice to see you'll be updating with more levels!
