I’m looking for early playtesters to jump into Echoes of Destiny Online and help shape its future.

This is a WORK-IN-PROGRESS build, which means:

  • ⚠️ Expect bugs (sometimes a lot of them)
  • ⚙️ Systems are still evolving
  • 🌱 The game has tons of room to grow—and your feedback will directly impact that

If you enjoy being part of a game’s development and want your voice to actually matter, this is for you.

👉 Play here: https://bigclips.itch.io/echoes-of-destiny-online

💬 I’m specifically looking for feedback on:

  • Gameplay feel & progression
  • Bugs/glitches (big or small)
  • Performance issues
  • First impressions & fun factor

Every piece of feedback helps shape the direction of the game. You’re not just testing you’re helping build it.

Thanks to anyone willing to dive in early 🙏

The sound and atmosphere you’ve created are wonderful. The idea and concept are also great, and I can see that the project already has several layers of depth implemented, and quite complex ones at that. Not all developers can aim for something this technical, which is what makes it stand out in my eyes.

You also already have the most difficult part built.

From first impressions, I do feel like it needs a bit more guidance at the beginning. As players, we can sometimes be a bit clueless, and we need a balance between being taught and not being hand-held too much. A bit more reinforcement around the core loops would help, whether it’s navigating the menu, mining, or movement itself.

I really like the idea of the lateral engines. Even so, in this kind of game you’re going to spend a lot of time moving from one place to another, so I hope you can find a point where traversal feels really satisfying.

Bugs:
Fix that annoying start bug where you move like crazy, and the meteors going wherever they want, haha (it hurts the first impression). That’s the most important one.

Very good work, honestly

Thank you so much for taking the time to play and leave such detailed feedback. It genuinely means a lot.

I'm really glad you enjoyed the sound design, atmosphere, and overall concept. Hearing that the depth and complexity of the systems stand out is incredibly encouraging, especially since this project has been a huge undertaking.

Your point about player guidance is spot on. As the developer, it's easy for me to forget that new players don't have the same understanding of the game's systems, so improving onboarding and reinforcing the core gameplay loops is definitely something I'll be focusing on.

I'm also happy you liked the lateral engine mechanic. Traversal is a major part of the experience, and I agree that making movement feel satisfying and rewarding is important for the long-term enjoyment of the game.

As for the bugs, thank you for calling those out. The movement issue at the start and the meteor behavior are both high-priority fixes because first impressions matter, and I don't want those problems distracting players from the experience.

I truly appreciate the kind words and thoughtful criticism. Feedback like yours helps shape the direction of Echoes of Destiny Online and makes the game better with every update. Thanks again for being part of the journey!
