The driving handles well, and I certainly like the sliding option, I do enjoy being able to drift in cars. Camera is a bit disorienting, but that's likely something you will need to research, perhaps not having it track with the player, or making it slower to follow are the answers. It reminds me of VR games that have to consider movement types to avoid causing motion sickness that plagues the industry in the earlier years.

But that aside, simple concept, an interesting blend of top down style while using 3d models, and overall simple gameplay creating a core gameplay loop.

Thanks! The vehicle dynamics are certainly what I'm most proud of and what I spent most time on (though not enough). Camera is a very valid point as raised by pretty much everyone here.

I liked how the vehicle handled. Same as the others, I could not handle the way the camera moved. It only took me a couple play throughs before I had to quit due to getting dizzy. I also second having a more generous timer.

Thanks for the feedback!

Are Groglins pears?  :D

Only if you leave them on the kitchen counter for too long ;)

My record: 4708 points. Pretty fun! Sometimes, the vehicle starts veering to the left after a while, I assume that's it breaking down.  The thing I don't like however is the camera: It follows the rotation of the vehicle way too aggressively and can be very disorienting. I like this game's pseudo (?) 3D look, it's oddly nostalgic!

Nice score! Yes, the vehicle does start veering by design. Any time you bump into something, you incur damage resulting in penalties to steering, acceleration, grip, and braking. Fair point regarding the camera movement. I would have liked to do a lot more tuning, but the deadline came down hard in the end!

It's a decent survival driver game. I do have a couple of issues, namely that I feel like the meter goes up too fast that there's not a lot of time to reverse before the gorgonzolas come and eat my car. Getting slightly more time to recover from bumping would help significantly with game feel. Another issue, and it's a personal thing for me, is that the fullscreen with the wobbly track can get a bit nauseating to look at. A setting to play it windowed should fix that issue. other than that, I had fun. Got over 3600 points.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Yes, the timer is very aggressive and I was struggling to find a good balance in the end. If it's too slow, it feels like one is constantly miles ahead. But then you take one bad turn and it's over! Good call regarding the windowed setting.

Developer

Small note: the difficulty is too low in the beginning, because no rocks are spawning. Keep driving and the number of boulders will gradually increase, making things more challenging. Use that handbrake for some fun slides!
