Description
Hello! This is my submission for the Impressions Composing Jam Session Season 4: Melody Jam.
This is my first track using vocals. I had a random stock solo female vocal track in my sample library. I used a simpler to chop it up and then map out my own musical ideas. I would re-sample my short ideas, add a delay, and then chop those up and organize them into musical ideas (at least I hope they're music).
For the bass voice I layered 2 wavetables in Ableton. One of the wavetables I created and the other is a stock from Ableton that I edited. The Ableton wavetable had the distorted frequencies I was looking for.
For the drums I layered kick samples until it created some depth. The build up sound leading into the kicks is layers of toms and kicks samples reversed.

Ahhh yes my brother in arms. All we care about is mixing and sound design and making a sick soundscape. Sick chops, cool atmosphere. Who cares about the theme anyways XD jkjk
Love the mood and sounds design honestly ! However as many pointed out, there's a total lack of melody, and without worldbuilding it's hard to build the connection to the theme. Keep up the good work !

I wasn’t expecting this style for the jam at all, but it works well. I like the overall vibe, the floating textures in the background, and the vocals. It makes for an enjoyable listen :)
Really cool track dude, interesting sounds. I think it departs from the jam theme and doesn't have enough of a melody for this one but still a cool track overall!
I've tried to give detailed breakdowns on my ratings on the other tracks, but here it feels a bit redundant since it's really difficult to rate this since the criteria are based around melody. And as some people already pointed out, this track doesn't really have a discernable melody, and I also don't hear a correlation to the jam theme. So I kind of feel like I have no choice but rate those categories pretty low.
However... I think the track is really cool! If this was any other jam, like ambient, texture, production etc. I think I would rate this very high. Use of vocals in this way is very interesting to me, and I appreciate you gave a breakdown of your production workflow.
So yes, this was very enjoyable, just kind of a miss in terms of the jam theme. Good work!

The vocals are quite trippy, but I do really like how Experimental this Soundtrack sounds!
