I like the aesthetic of the game. The simple yet colorful presentation reminds me a bit of old-school computer graphics from the 80s and the design really works well with the theme of Cthulhu. The music as well works great with the art.
The game itself is quite interesting and I think the cards explain themselves quite well. I think what might help is more visual indicators to show whether or not I am doing well in the game. This is because at some points I was unsure if I was winning or not and after 4 turns the game stopped letting me pick cards.
In general though, this is a pretty interesting concept and I think you did a good job especially considering that you were sick while developing the game. Hope you are feeling better now!
Really cool game! I like the idea and the execution is definitely pretty good! Though I would have loved to see a proper tutorialisation for me to understand the cards and stuff at the start easily (though this might just be a me issue since I don't usually play management games xD). Still, good job!
Interesting concept, I like how every card has a benefit and a cost. I would definitely like to see different cards, and a proper explanation for each resource you have. Right now I don't see any reason why there needs to be so many different resources, it's a bit confusing. I'd be interested in seeing this project continued into a full game, and hope that there is a proper tutorial and more obvious meaning to each resource the player has. I also thought the background of the game looked cool, with the space-y theme!
Good job for the submission!
Here's some feedback:
I really like the interpretation, managing resources with cards is really interesting!
I really like the creativity on this one, managing the different resources while playing cards that generates VP is really appealing to me! However I had no idea what I was doing most of the time because the resources does not have a tool tip or a name! That really took a toll on my patience, I wish I could appreciate the game more but it is just not the case :(.
Audio is nice, I really liked it, the sfx and music.
Art is quite minimalistic but good :).
The game needs some polish as mentionned above, I don't want to scroll down and up every time I don't know what something is...
Good job!
I really liked the idea of this game, so much so in fact that I'm a bit sad that the game is so short (or it's a skill issue on my part?)... after a few turns, the cards suddenly get way too expensive :(
... though I guess that makes sense, if you are supposed to be a warlock with a demanding and unfair patron :D
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for the feedback! It's probably not a skill issue dw. The game is pretty unbalanced rn so you need good rng to last a while because i got sick during the jam and ran out of time to implement the cards that benefit you long term. I might try to continue development on the game after the jam though since i feel like it has potential, despite it's current half-baked state.
I'd love to see a more polished version of it, I would absolutely play more. The idea is really good
