I'm actually vibing with this game so much. Love the Paper's Please + FNAF combo. The shadow demon designs are so good, and the analog-horror looking monster that comes out of nowhere is nightmare fuel. The ambient droning does a lot to set the tone, so I'd love to hear some more sound effects as you click things. Since the choices are so simple, it makes the cryptic contracts that much more interesting. Love the guy who comes in making a deal for a few hundred each time.

Super cool!

Papers Please but making a deal with the devils is an amazing idea. I love it. I was waiting for a jump scare to happen but it never did, it did have me on the edge of my seat though. Nice game!

This game's great! It feels like kind of a mix of Five night's at Freddy's and Papers Please tbh. Giving me spooky vibes which I lovee though a bit more clear direction on the objective would've been helpful! Overall, great work!

I could not figure out if the jumpscare and gameover was just random or has a reason but they was scary all the time !! Mysterious little game I loved it. The chara design is peak

The different client types were great, I really liked how it wasn't always super clear what exactly the proposal was, like the numbers would be written in a funny way or the proposal itself would be worded in a questionable way. I would've liked to see even more different cryptic proposals! Also, I got really spooked by the jumpscares :D

Thank you!

I wanted to get more stuff into the game beyond just the dealmaking, as well as loads more npcs, but there was like an hour left on the clock by the time I got all the deal description graphics made. I certainly plan on doing much more complex word-puzzles with the deals as I work more on this lil' project, but I'm happy you enjoyed what I managed to slap together for the Jam!

I really like the creepy atmosphere of this game and the variety of character silhouettes! I think each deal being written differently for each character type adds personality to them which is a nice touch! I also think it was a good use of the theme to have to pay to hide from the jumpscare  too!

The game does feel a bit easy, as I made quite a lot of money, so the fines didn't feel as impactful as time went on, i'd suggest some kind of multiplier applied after each character interaction or when a certain amount of money is made.

Nice work! : )

Thank you so much!

Yeah, I really am biting myself for starting so late on the Jam because I had zero time to playtest the difficulty or set up any proper progression to the game. I was thinking that the fines for hiding and making deals would go up as the game progressed, and that what deals you could encounter would scale with what money you could spend, the goal being to make it feel like you're trying to outrun debt by the skin of your teeth. It's something I would've preferred I got across in the Game Jam build, but I'll still work on the game and update it after rating is done to get my vision for it realized >:)

I really liked the idea of making deals. The only problem I found is that the fine becomes irrelevant if you are given a large enough deal. Given that you made this with only less than, I think you did an awesome job!

Yeah, there was a bunch of mechanics I didn't get to implement, including the NPC encounters not being entirely randomized from the selection pool like they are. (Also the debt is supposed to gain interest the longer it isn't paid off) The bigger deals are meant to be for later game encounters, when you'd have a lot more things to spend money on! I appreciate the feedback though, thanks a ton!
