Very cool game. Love the chill nature of it. Watching the fish swim was very enjoyable. Nice job.

I felt very relaxed playing this game, and enjoyed just chilling and watching all the fish swim around. Nice Game!

Developer

Thank you, happy you tried it out!

I think this was a super chill experience, but I could not figure out how to get equilibrium. I might give it another try later. I also didn't know at first that it was drag and drop, but I could've missed something. The music and art was great though.

Developer

Thank you! Ah, unfortunate, where did you get hung up on? :) Yeah its not the clearest its drag and drop, could have done better job informing that.

Really cool game! I feel I had to put an absurd amount of plants to keep the fish alive, and spent most of my time just dragging plants into the aquarium. The surprise at the end was pretty funny, and I thought the game was quite relaxing. One thing is that my pikes kept eating each other, despite there being other fish to eat, making it take a really long time before they bred once. I quite liked the music you chose for the game and art you drew!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Yeah, its not really realistic with the plant per fish distribution. Also what you mentioned is a probably a bug, since they should only start eating each other after they have bred. The pikes eating each other is prioritized if there are three or more pikes, because they will otherwise take over the pond. So would patch it if the jam was not ongoing :)

Great job! I liked the concept; while the interpretation of the theme is similar to other submissions, this one adds a unique perspective to it, which makes it very appealing. It's a good game!

Developer

Thank you! Nice to hear :) Happy that you enjoyed it!

Achieved equilibrium at 4:55. Really relaxing and unique game. It's quite rare to see an ecosystem game like this in a game jam.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! You had a good time completing it :)

Loved the surprise at the end. Actually had me invested within 30 seconds. Favorite game so far, very creative.  I like fish.

Developer

Thank you, that is very nice to hear!

a nice chilled out experience! I enjoyed my time with it and watching the way the fish interacted with each other! very impressive detail in their behaviour and stats  given the time limit! Will be coming back to this!

Though I would've liked if something ate the snails for more agency as nothing seemed to happen to my snails after i put them in or maybe I just got lucky idk.

Nice Job! : )

Developer(+1)

Thank you a lot for playing!

Yeah the snails are OP right now in the sense that they are currently immortal as long as you have waste. I wanted to make Pike eat them or add non-fish predator, but ran out of time. If I come back to this I will for sure make more tweaks to make it feel even more real.

Very fun! I was entranced for longer than I care to admit by all my fish!

Developer

Thank you for playing! Yeah they are kind of relaxing to just watch :)

I love the idea and the little fishes moving around, feels like a real ecosystem that I am growing on my computer. I really love hoe they interact with each other and the environment. Very relaxing

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! Happy that it felt like a real enviroment, spent a full day balancing it to get that feel :)

Calm game for relaxing.  Needed some time to understand what to do.

Developer

Thanks for trying it! Yeah, I think in Jams the onboarding can often be ignored like I did, but sometimes its also fun to leave users a bit in the dark. At least the controls could have been explained better I suppose.

amazing game!!!  i loved planting unfathomable amounts of sea grass with my fish.  really fun.

Developer

Haha, thank you! Yeah, I would have wanted to make the pond even bigger, but it started to get a bit too complicated to balance :)

I loved this! I've never seen a game like this before, the idea is really original and interesting. I also liked the equilibrium surprise at the end! Really fun and impressive for such a short gamejam :O

Developer

Thank you! Happy that it was unique :) I have always wanted to make simulation game, but now had a theme that actually fit it!

This game is not for me sry.

Developer (3 edits) (+1)

That is ok, thanks for trying it out (if you did)! :)

Simulators are not for everyone, but is there a specific aspect you did not like?
