Who knew something like Simon Says could be taken in such an eerie direction? Very cool. I especially appreciate the inclusion of the voice acting which really helped sell the creepiness of the doctor. The pixel art and the design of the doctor is well-done. The doctor has that creepy, judging stare down pat, for sure.
Like others had mentioned, it seems the hand-switching isn't always responsive. I thought it was my laptop buttons being messed up until I saw the other comments.
I also noticed a small bug where dialogue would start but the doctor still does a gesture and the meter still drains. Fortunately, it didn't cause any gameplay issues.
Having the doctor testing you to see if you were faking it was a neat twist on the mechanic. I agree with Cosmeeto that having to do it based on sound cues would be a cool idea for another round.
Very interesting and clever take on the theme. The premise managed to intrigue me despite how short the game was. Great job!
Thank you! I'm really happy to hear how atmospheric it was despite the shortcomings. Hopefully we'll be able to fix the both of those issues by Sunday, more so the lack of responsiveness from our controls than anything else.
Thank you for playing and taking the time to give us your feedback!

The character art in this game is incredible, and the voice acting was really good! I think the only thing I would have added is another stage where you can't see the doctor at all and have to match based on sound cues.
Thank you very much for the feedback! As the sound designer and character artist, I'm really happy to hear those aspects helped set the tone and atmosphere of the game.
On the difficulty aspect, that's sort of what we were going for? Initially it was gonna be totally blacked out, but then that presented a problem with knowing which side is which. Maybe we could give left and right different sound cues by sunday (not totally sure because I think the programmers used a mirroring system). The whole side switching aspect seems to have brought in a few issues but hey, now we know for next time! You live and you learn ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Thanks for playing!

You make a great point, with it totally blacked out the left and right elements become impossible. I didn't think about that!
What an intriguing character this doctor and it's so cool that you did the voicelines ! It really pulled me into the story.
I really like the concept and I would love to play a more fleshed out version of this game. I have an inkling the story would be awesome. It's creative and eerie, I love it. But I had a hard time with the controls (switching between hands mostly), that made the experience, sadly, less enjoyable.
Oh and the artwork for the doctor looks awesome!
Thank you for playing!
We're planning to balance certain elements of gameplay soon and make the visuals more lively
We didn't have time for a playtest before this, so the feedback is great. 👍
Hey guys !
The game you created is fun and definitly leaves me wanting for more ! I'd love to discover the story behind this mysterious Doctor and hospital.
Audio:
I loved the fact that you guys did voicelines it's awesome !
I feel like the use of background music could make the experience even more ominous.
Since the doctor tells use to mimic notes (Fa, Sol ...) maybe you could play around with this ?
Visuals:
I love the doctor's character design ! The overall ambiance is very ominous and beautiful !
Gameplay:
I had a little trouble with the controls, in some cases i had the frustrating feeling they were fighting me.
In some cases the hand selection didn't seem to work properly ?
My brain wanted to select the "note" before actually choosing which hand would display it, so I sometimes had to do the process twice.
I'd love to see the doctor feel a little more alive and react to my gestures, to tell me when it's bad or good etc.
Overall it's a strong base for a story game later on ?! I want to know what happens in this hospital !!
Cheers <3
Thanks for playing!
All great tips for us. Dynamic background music would be EPIC. We were torn on the background audio being a music track or the oppressive atmospheric noise we ended on. Dynamic audio would tie in so well with gameplay though, so we'll see if we can revisit that.
Stiffness in the hand switching is a critique we've gotten a lot now that the game's released, so we'll try to address that. That's interesting that you often select the note first. It could be changed where the selected note from one hand carries over to the other, rather than remembering the note you last used on each hand. It makes sense, so we can play around with that idea.
Glad you enjoyed! 💜
