Theme implementation
You have to choose one direction to select the event you want to view. Events are random every time.
They was supposed to be a quest added all about choosing the right direction, but we sadly ran out of time.

Special Object addition
Your are a nurse, and need to use your Needle/Syringe to cure people!!

What tools and 3rd party assets did you use?
Godot for the engine, Aseprite for sprites!

Game is updated!!

Funny liitle game. Not a challange, just simple story. I like the dialogues a lot. :D Maybe if you added more "freedom" to it (moving, but also some choices) it would make it more interesting.

Nice game, would love to see it completed with more mechanics. Maybe something similar to Undertale's minigame?

funny, thats pretty close to what i had in mind at first!!

i wanted the minigame to be a big box appearing in the middle, and you would have to try and sting the target while they either move, or try to fight your needle (pushing it away, or destroying it)

tho i think it's way over the top for such a little game, i like how we kept it simple! you kinda make your own fun by stinging then where you want hehehe, i think thats a big part of the humor of the game!

Pretty funny encounters :D

Would love to come back and see your progress on the game! The art is really cute and I'm sure you can make some kind of minigame to make the medicine delivery more fun!

Good thing that you made a lot of patient variants to keep the gameplay flow more spiced, I think there are a lot of room to put more mechanics. And about music, SFX and other contents, I've acknowledged about time issue. I understand that making game in only 7 days is hard (I've even failed to submit before) but at least you got experience from this time to improve your next jam! Try to manage time more and make the core feature first ex. in this game, after you make direction choosing system, you might make the quest system after that so it will be easier to extend. Great job! I'm cheering you up!

thanks for the kind comment!!

we did get a lot of experience for sure hehe, with each projet i can feel how much i've progressed, and i can't wait for the next one!!

as for making more system, we quickly settled on a pretty smal scope for the game, so i feel line we have implemented all the system we decided we needed!

tho making systems is my favorite part about coding!! i'm obsessed with making reusable code that can be dynamic, for exemple in this one i could easily add a new event by simply adding 1 sprite, 1 icon, and the 2 texts in a ressource file and i had nothing else to do for it to be implemented in the game!! i love working like this ahah

That's very cool because that would aid the development process and making it faster! I also love coding and making system for the game too. I also have another goal while I'm making this game is to developing it in the most "software engineering" way possible like using design pattern, manage sprint, etc. (it will help reduce spaghetti code).

The visuals are so charming and cute and the dialogue is funny! nice work, even though you didn't get to finish everything!

Thanks a bunch for trying our game!!
We're happy you enjoyed you time playing it!

I can read that you didn't get to add music/ SFX/ quest with another ending/... because of time, I would suggest to try prioritizing. Make a list of what is necessary(1 song/ 5 characters/ ...) and what is optional but would make the game better (for example extra characters). If you have implemented all the necessary things, you can start working on the optional things. That's just my suggestion for time management.

Otherwise, I find the characters and dialogue really creative. You guys are doing great, keep making games!

Thanks for the feedback!!

To be fair, neither me or my friend had made a song before, so we kept it for last! We did make a list, and everything optional didnt make it in (secret, more events, update backgrounds, and others), and we were able to make our "minimum" in time... except the song!! argh.

Whats even more frustrating is that i was to make a pretty fine song & sfx just 2 hours after submitting!! Sadly can't edit, it will have to wait after the end of the voting period.

We are really happy to hear that you enjoyed the characters and dialogues!! We are complete beginners in making games, so might as well try to make them fun to play!! hehehe

Be sure to check this project again some times after the end of the voting period, as we will be adding everything that was left aside :) 馃┓

Thanks for playing!!

PS: since there was no audio, we were afraid no one would like it or even just take the time to see what was there, so really, thank you!! so much!!! 馃┓
