Theme implementation
This game has Needle Skill which is use to dash and it is "direction"al. Also it uses mouse which needs to be "direction"al. And you need to direct her to do the offering too.

Special Object addition
In this world, people devoted themself to Needle Lord for their gift. Needles are everywhere and the Needle Skill (which is needle) make the bound one small and sharp like "needle"

Wow. The narrative side of this game is amazing. One of the bests I have seen on gamejams.. Really climatic intro and narration. Unforunetly i wont know how it ends, because i couldn't beat the last part (skill issiue). The gameplay is pretty unique really, i have never in my life seen games using something like "mouse swipe". And I kinda see why, its really clanky and uncomforatable. xd But interesting for a game jam.  It reminds me of something like "Getting Over It", strange moving mechanic with unforgiving platformer, where one mistake can undo your long progress, and you just fall to the beggining.

The animations are also top tier. It really amazes me that game like this was made for a gamejam. Great job.

Thank you very much! Yes "Getting Over It" is one of my main inspiration for this game, another game that inspired me is "Mio : Memories in Orbit" for visuals (This is a really great metroidvania game that I recommend every one to play).

Super cool visual and music! I think the UI for the needle skill could be improved, like maybe putting just a single icon on top of the character?

Developer

That's a very cool idea! I also think of re-designing the UI too. Thank you for feedback!

Loved your ideas and the overall implementation. The art style is beautiful and fits well with the music. Congrats!

Wow, using your mouse to swipe is a really cool mechanic! I haven't seen anything like that yet.

But sadly it's a two edged sword. I don't know if it's just me, but I can't seem to get past the vertical shaft with 4 needle pickups. I can go twice in a row up, but from there on out, it's super sensitive to go left or right and I fall back down. If you could find a way for it to be more controllable, it would make the gameplay perfect.

Other than that, the game has good animations, it has an opening, the visuals are good, audio is good, you teach gradually how to play, the parkour is great... It's genuinely really good! Good job!

Thank you very much! Actually I made sensitivity settings for seperate axis in pause menu (I forgot to wrote this in game, you need to press [ESC]).

Indeed, I got past it ◝(ᵔᗜᵔ)◜

Very fun concept, tho would have love for it to be easier to tell which slot each needle is going to replace!

I had to stop everything i was doing to focus on the black line to tell, slowed the gameplay down a bit

Actually I always thought of this but when on design, it is really hard so I make Needle Skill to be big, make it in pattern and widen the camera to make player analyze and remember before go. If I had a time, I will re-design this. Thank you for feedback!

This has a really cool vibe! I liked the strange ritual atmosphere and the idea of climbing the tower with the Needle Skill. It feels unique for a jam game. Great visuals, nice work!

really nice style and visuals, I would really appreciate if the needle power controls were set to the arrow keys though

Developer

Thank you for playing! I decided to use mouse as the Needle Powers control because it gives the feeling of needle swiftness (and in my first idea you can actually swipe mouse anywhere and even mixing the move).
