It's a bit confusing on the first try, but the clues are all there and it's easy to experiment and figure out how it works. I was able to get full coins on my third try!
Funny idea and nice art. Not so intuitive from the beginning, but I got it after few tries. Cool idea for the scoring.
Lovely art in this one. I liked that vocal sounds were used to help communicate to the player but without any language. I did find that it seemed impossible past a certain point.
Great submission, it did feel like the difficulty ramped up super quickly though.
The art on this was great, and the design was really straightforward and easy to pick up! The only problem I had was that I tended to feel pretty quickly overwhelmed, and it felt like (though I don't think this was actually the case) there were a lot of non-decisions, where either choice would have led to basically the same outcome. But other than that, it was very polished and enjoyable :)
Thanks for playing :)
As others have said, great theming :) Everything about this game is great. The only thing I recommend is to have the minimum number of floors be increased as there are some situations where a person is forced to be late.
Thanks for playing!
Great, cohesive look and game feel. I liked the humor throughout. I found the gameplay a bit narrow/lacking, unless I was missing something - regardless, it was pretty easy to pick up and understand. Perhaps in the future you could support warping between floors of similar shape, or having interactions between passengers in the elevator for the player to have to consider?
Here's a playtest!
Thanks for the feedback! Really enjoyed watching your video and your thoughts during gameplay.
Some great ideas - definitely some great ways to extend the gameplay.
I really like a lot about this one! It feels very cohesive. As far as fitting the jam theme, I feel that I was able to catch on pretty quickly.
Thanks for playing!
I really liked the game. Has charm, personality, and really nicely designed art. On top of that, "Interdimensional Elevator Operator" is a fantastic name. And the thumbnail image is gorgeous. 😊
Thanks for the kind words :)
I'm a huge huge fan of pixel art, and all of the areas in the elevators feel super unique and I love that so much! I listen to this artist yawn. on spotify and the OST for this game reminds me so much of their work and I'm huge fan of that. I love the creativity of all of the worlds and honestly found myself strangely immersed into them. this is definitely something I would play more if it were an official game. the only thing was I found it hard to understand how the gameplay worked and how to actually progress, but the art and music are so good.
Thanks for playing, and the yawn recommendation! Never heard of them before, but the comparison is spot on
absolutely! I hope youre able to find further find success in other gamejams. I will be joining the juniper gamejam coming up I hope you join that one too!! I'll be looking forward to your work if you do!
The gameplay was rather straightforward but the game didn't feel very smooth to play. i understood the concept of the game very clearly but the buttons should have been laid out in a clearer order
Thanks for the feedback, we'll take it in to consideration when we continue working on it.
it was a interesting design, but it was too unique for me to get, and i didn't quite what did what.
Thanks for playing!
Great concept and execution! The elevator control panel was slightly confusing to look at first, especially the direction of the arrows, but got the hand of it shortly. the gameplay was quite fun and quite a bit of decision making to prioritize picking up customers vs dropping off . I played for a while but didnt understand what was the final goal or was it just an endless loop? Anyway, had fun playing it, would love to see a longer version of this!
Thanks for the feedback! There's an end state if you play long enough.
Really nice! The game is so charming and pleasant to look at. I love the premise also!
My only complaint is I was hoping for a bit more managing and planning in the game. I've felt like it get crowded really fast and I felt like it was less about managing more about dealing with the currently most annoyed passenger. which maybe was precisely the point XD Overall I really liked that one. Good job!
Good points! We think there's still some space to explore here with elevator traveler management to help vary the gameplay.
Thats a very chill game bro
Took me a little while to figure out but it was fun.
Thanks for playing!
