The mechanics are cool, the upgrade system is very much refined like, at first, I was wondering why I would ever need to buy life points but then I upgraded speed and I understood why!
So it's a nice proof of concept but now what do we do with this. I got to full upgrade pretty quickly and was expecting something to happen, either something conclusive or expanding on the mechanics and the gameplay but I just ended up spending more times amassing ressources I didn't need.
Yeah, this was great fun, I'd throw you some coin if possible
An interesting cocept very well executed. The controls and gameplay are intuitive. The 3d art with pixel art textures is well done with good sound design and feedback. Feels very immersive.
Great execution! Feels like this idea has legs to keep going with!
Love the art and the vibe it brings. The feedback from all the buttons and hovering is super satisfying!
This was really fun! The ship controls felt very tactile and the atmosphere was very immersive. Took me a moment to realize I have to control the ship on the display in front of me but then I was off mining and upgrading.
At some point I think I’ve reached all available upgrades (no clickable bars, but I guess not all systems have the same number of bars?) and was overflowing with resources, so I crashed my ship to see what that’s like.
I didn’t get around to this game earlier because it was very laggy on my older PC with onboard graphics. I played it now on my gamer PC and it ran perfectly smooth, but the fans were spinning very loudly. Probably a good idea to limit FPS and/or resolution in a game jam :)
I genuinely love this. from the visuals to the small yet honestly addictive gameplay loop. all of the sound design was super well done too it made feel hella immersed into that whole setting. felt like another version of iron lung with the submarine stuff. genuinely great stuff!
i like the way this game plays, i'd purchase a commercial version if possible because the concept and gameplay loop was very nice when i was playing it. also the robot was very cute
too laggy and not performant for browser play
You guys absolutely crushed this - I looove a game with a clunky mouse driven diegetic interface, and it pairs really nicely with an incremental game. Could *absolutely* see this doing gangbusters as a full commercial release.
very compelling upgrade loop, was there some end game i missed? i had overflowing resources and nothing else to get or do haha
i feel like i'm missing something, all i was able to do was drive around and then die very quickly. aside from not fully understanding what to do. everything was really well done.
This game scratches so many itches, some I didn't even know I had. Epic.
Very cool, love the atmosphere and the mix of 2D and 3D, the mining and improvements feel really satisfying, amazing sound design also. It all feels really immersive and i would consider buying a commercial version of this if it came combined with more of a story and a deeper progression system, just something to break up the main gameplay here and there.
I was unable to further upgrade anything on the right-hand-side after a while, despite having lots of money, and don't know if this was intentional or a bug - i kept playing to try and be able to do that so if it's intentional, maybe that could have been better communicated. Loved this, really good job.
Really well done, impressive art/audio and the runs are self explanatory from the get go. Amazing how immediately the mood is established as well. Well done!!
The art, mood, and sound were fantastic. This is probably one of the most polished ones I’ve played so far. I really liked the little interaction details too, like the interior rattling around when I bumped into walls. That kind of stuff made it feel a lot more finished.
The symbols/items were the only part that didn’t totally click for me. I figured them out eventually, but some of them were not clear to me until after I had already upgraded them most of the way. That discovery was still kind of fun, but I think a few could use a little more clarity.
The joystick was also a little janky, but honestly maybe just make that upgradable too 🙂
Really strong game overall. The gameplay is good, the presentation is great, and I could definitely see this being expanded into something bigger.
FINISH THIS GAME! That was a great experience. Highlighting controls was great for a fixed perspective game. Loved the theme and atmosphere. Extremely well done.
In the first 5 seconds it had already hooked me, and then again when i moved the handle and everything in the cabin reacts! The atmosphere and presentation are amazing and at first i was confused about what the things on the left were but soon i understood that it was money. Unless i missed something i sadly found it really short! I wanted more! I believe i upgraded the full ship and i thought there would be some more mechanics at play other than just upgrading the sub, like different ores or some threat to deal with so at some point i just closed the game with a bunch of money. I can see a lot of potential in this. Really well done, a contender to win in my book!
I don't know if its a bug or then just not obvious. After the first button press, I can only press the big center button, and once its on that navigation mode, there is nothing to go to. I mean, I can "stir" or press a small button but they do nothing (I die if I just go backwards). I would expect the sonar/map to show something but it remains empty.
It's definetely a bug. Are you playing on a mac by any chance?
yes I'm on a mac. ill try later on a pc then.
This is a beautiful, well polished game. I felt it a bit confusing, since it was not clear what my goal is, and I only got it after reading the description. Also, I didn't understande why I was losing so often, I think it's related to running out of eneregy, but I'm still not sure. Seeing other people's comments I'm starting to think that maybe I was the problem :P Great job putting it together!
Thanks a lot! :)
You're definetely not alone. When the jam is over we will keep updating the game and improve readability (maybe even add a bit of text, but don't tell anyone.)
This was awesome! Everything came together really well!
It just left me wanting more,
Great Job!
