The mechanics are cool, the upgrade system is very much refined like, at first, I was wondering why I would ever need to buy life points but then I upgraded speed and I understood why!

So it's a nice proof of concept but now what do we do with this. I got to full upgrade pretty quickly and was expecting something to happen, either something conclusive or expanding on the mechanics and the gameplay but I just ended up spending more times amassing ressources I didn't need.

I like the idea but the playing experience was very frustrating.

I understand that you wanted the gravity to affect multiple objects at once but in the current state it just makes it so you unintentionnaly move the boxes when you want to move the platforms and vice versa.

The collision between the box and the player is a fun idea that could lead to crazy speedrun maneuvres but in the context of a casual playthrough it just makes it so you can't move the boxes from one side to the other in a "natural" way or you'll likely toss yourself across the level.

Sometimes I tried to drop a box somewhere and the box just snapped back with no reason to it.

Softlocking is already not the funniest experience, but when I do and I instinctively push the reset button only to be reset back to the tutorial I just literally wanna give up on the game at this point.

I might sound a bit harsh but I really think there's a good game in there but these points prevent it from getting there.

Makes me think of Minit which is a game I absolutely loved.

As many I couldn't figure out the clicking part until I read the comments.

I love the art style, the music is really cool, too bad it played only once, but I also think it's a good idea not having it play on loop, I think you should have tried to do it like in Minecraft where the music sometimes play and sometimes nothing is playing. The sfx were cool, very much in style.

It's really interesting that, compared to Minit, you used a gameplay element to have the timer rather than just a timer but the recharging at base felt too long as there is literally nothing to do at base.

I'm convinced you shouldn't have the rocks reload constantly they should load once at the start and that's all, this would force you to explore the map with the little ressource you have making the game a bit challenging and more interesting. As is you'd have no reason to do anything but mine rocks adjacent to the house and go back inside to reload some more and finish the game very easily like that and kinda defying the purpose of the torch.

Frogs > Snakes but sad frog is too sad :(

I love the mood of the game, very cute!

As for the gameplay, the inspiration is very clear and I think you can't go wrong with such a classic. I think it's an interesting take to shift the reference point like that (I mean having the static point in the middle rather than the moving head of the snake). I just wish you'd have time to either expand a bit on the mechanics or refine the level design as it is too short and simple as it is.

One key thing for me is I felt like there was a bit of input lag and it felt not that smooth moving the tongue around at first but once my brain adjusted for it it then felt too easy to just go where I wanted (which the og game counteracts by increasing the speed as you go and I get that you couldn't do this on such a short game)

YES!!! You're right on the nose about the Porter Robinson inspiration, he's one of my fav artists. I thought I would make a very different kind of music at first but when we started talking about patches of grass with the team I guess the Nurture cover popped in my head and it was a clear way from there ;)

The aesthetics and this music, definitely a vibe! I had a lovely time playing this, simple and effective.

The main thing I felt was missing was some kind of scoring system, or at least something that gives me incentive to play and do better.

I just love this, totally respects the theme of the jam and does it with a great execution.

I love puzzle games and an aspect I can say you guys absolutely nailed is having these very straightforward entry level puzzles that just gets you into how the mechanics works and as soon as you push the mechanics a bit you realize there are a lot of different solutions to every puzzles. It really helps to make the player feel like they did not only solve a puzzle, but they did THEIR WAY. It's a very important part of skill expression in this genre, games that can only be completed through intended solutions are just less interesting.

I can say very confidently I'd like to see more of this!

I absolutely loved it! I don't know what else to say but I think it was worth saying it! GOOD JOB!

DANCE! BOUNCE! THAT'S ALL I WANNA DO!

I like this game, a simple and effective platformer. I don't know if it's me who didn't find a way but I didn't like having the controls on screen the whole time.

I think the interesting part was the level design, I can see a lot of the first obstacles are meant to teach you about the mechanics and I prefer it that way. At first I liked that the level had a semi-open design with some areas being accessible from different paths, I regret that it only led to soft locking and not to different ways of getting the stars.

Just played the game and I really like how it came up, particularly a couple choices you made that I won't spoil here just in case ;) I think it ends up really being in the vibe we envisionned at the start with the team we assembled.

Thank you for including me in this, it was a nice first experience and makes me wanna enter jams again after a bit of rest :)

No need to apologize it was literally outside of your control, if anything I am sorry for the late delivery and not being as involved in the process as I would have liked. Hope it was fine for you (particularly I hope I didn't mess up with the file I sent I'm used to export in wav but it's a heavy format maybe you were looking for something else)

Done!

Sure thing, I just don't see your invite :/ my username's on discord is princesse_pika

Hi! I'm a music composer, I've never participated in a game jam but I'm interested in a new challenge.

I have no experience in Game Design but maybe the point of view from a pure user standpoint could be useful. Anyway I think it's cool that you want every member to be involved in the overall game rather than just their part, I really vibe with that.

For contact, I mainly use discord for communication so if that's fine with you we could add each other there. I don't use X at all (sorry :/).

And if you have already found your match, I wish you the best!

Heeeeello!! I happen to be a composer looking for a team
