Makes me think of Minit which is a game I absolutely loved.

As many I couldn't figure out the clicking part until I read the comments.

I love the art style, the music is really cool, too bad it played only once, but I also think it's a good idea not having it play on loop, I think you should have tried to do it like in Minecraft where the music sometimes play and sometimes nothing is playing. The sfx were cool, very much in style.

It's really interesting that, compared to Minit, you used a gameplay element to have the timer rather than just a timer but the recharging at base felt too long as there is literally nothing to do at base.

I'm convinced you shouldn't have the rocks reload constantly they should load once at the start and that's all, this would force you to explore the map with the little ressource you have making the game a bit challenging and more interesting. As is you'd have no reason to do anything but mine rocks adjacent to the house and go back inside to reload some more and finish the game very easily like that and kinda defying the purpose of the torch.

yeah your spot on, its obvious in hindsight :) thanks for the review!

Found it pretty easy to figure out what to do, however it took me a second to realize I should use my mouse. Probably could have helped to require a mouse interaction within the starting garage. After picking up a few materials, it was pretty easy to see what the goal of the game was. I was a little bummed out that I couldn't control the big mech suit! Anyways, nice job. Here's a playtest

Thanks for the review! much appreciated

Couldn't figure out how to do anything other than walk around :( A tutorial is probably needed, but I pressed every button on my keyboard and nothing seemed to mine the rocks or interact with the machine thing inside the house.

I think I was lucky to find out that I had to click on rocks to mine them. Maybe my history with games such as Factorio helped me to find that out. A little more explanation would have helped. I got the rocks, got the mech, the mech went outside, it killed the boss (and killed the happy thing that came out) and the world exploded. I saw an enemy, but it did not come close. Maybe I missed parts of the game? Anyway, short but powerfull stuff :)
Would have liked to use the mech and shoot with it.

The game is fun once you understand how to mine the rocks. The ending was confusing once you beat the big boss.

I didn't know until i read other comments that i needed  to use mouse.  The pixel art is cool, though.

I really wanted to pilot the mech, but I just had no idea how. I spawned the big boss. It was fun running out, gathering resources before the time ran out, and I found out you can abuse the spawning by hopping in and out of the house.

Good job on the game!

Took me a minute to realize I have to use the mouse. Then I had a little fun collecting the resources, although waiting around in the house for the torch to recharge felt tedious.

Then the robot was built and I wasn’t sure if there was anything left to do afterwards. At some point it started moving around and then it suddenly died for no apparent reason? I would have played some more if the game reset to a state where the robot was already built.

The light effect looks cool!

Kind of weird game, feel like it could have higher stakes as the weird ugly monster never seemed to be a threat. Once the green bar was low I just returned home and recharged, so loop was very simple and staightforward.

Blowing up the world was cool tho and I liked the music. Had to read the comments to realise I mined with the mouse

I fixed the robot, but wasn't sure what to do after. I enjoyed the mining and collecting, though!

I think I got the evil ending, blowing up the world.

that was indeed the idea :D

A control guide, even in the game's page description, would have been pretty helpful. Found myself really enjoying it until finishing the robot. It seems like I'm supposed to get in it and explore more, but wasn't sure how to do that once I filled up all the bars from collecting resources.

Something really interesting here, but I don't think it got to shine in this version. I'm reminded of running around the depths in Tears Of The Kingdom.

. . . did I miss a key-guide somewhere? The game accepts both wasd and arrow-keys, so there's that. I . . . don't know what the point of the game is? I explored around a bit, found nothing. I chased some kind of grinning mask around, that did nothing. Couldn't figure out how to interact with anything, maybe nothing really interacts. I gave this game some extra time to figure it out, see if it was a me-thing rather than a game-thing, but it seems to be a game thing.

clearly we could have provided more feedback, not easy without text. The goal was to click the ores to mine materials to finish the robot with it.

theres a really cool concept here. I found the movement, camera and controls all a bit unwieldy but that stuff can be sorted out! good work

Interesting concept with definitely a lot of potential to be expanded! I did have an issue where there seemed to be a lot of invisible walls.

This game has a lot of promise! I see where you're going with it being a Dome-Keeper style game.

Found the combination of precision clicking and keyboard movement a little hard to get the hang of. It took me longer than I care to admit to grasp that I was supposed to be clicking the ore nodes! The hitboxes on the little ores could be bigger / more forgiving.

Some of the invisible walls around the house are a bit big, probably can get rid of the ones on grass and pebbles.

The AI didn't pose much of a threat. I would like it if they swarmed you when your light goes out.

I liked that we were building a robot that protected us from the AI, but I would've also liked to be able to upgrade my own character's light strength, timer length, mining power etc. As I'd like to do more activities around the house.

I think your light meter could perhaps refill instantly if you made it home, rather than slowly refilling? But depends on what activities there are to do at home

The game feel was nice, the sound effects when mining was a highlight.

I didn't like the ore nodes kept respawning near my base, prevented me from going out and exploring further.

The atmosphere and vibe were great!

Thanks for the very insightful review!

I didn't understand how to mine

We had a similar ideas, but it is cool to see it executed in a different way! I like the mining. The game was very intuitive right away.
