The cargo weight mechanic is very cool. I did exactly what Karmarkel did - got greedy and got stuck haha. I think having to revisit your "base" to drop of cargo in batches (and to refill your O2) was neat as well. Some sounds would add a lot to the loop, but overall very fun and original game!
The concept is nice, but it felt a bit too short here. I really liked the moment when I couldn鈥檛 move anymore — that鈥檚 when I realized I had been too greedy 馃槃
I think it's smart balancing the need to get cargo with it also dragging you down - especially paired with depleting oxygen. I think 2 things could help:
- When you're fully loaded with cargo have the player still be able to go up, but very, very slowly. It seemed like I was doomed if I filled it to 80%
-It took me a while to find the boat to be able to unload the cargo because it was hidden behind the HUD element for life/oxygen/cargo. Maybe moving that to the middle would help.
I had fun though - got a 7.6/10.
Thank you, I'll try to improve it when I can.
It would be nice if there was an english translation
