The day and night cycle is such a lovely touch — Mikalin_07 said the Chrome Dino night mode instantly flashed before their eyes and it's a perfect comparison! The movement feels great and the bonus items add a nice layer of quick thinking and strategy to the dodging. The fact that you drew almost all the assets yourself for only your second jam ever is really impressive — there's something special about seeing your own sprites come to life! Making the obstacles look more visibly dangerous and adding a speed increase or dash mechanic in a future update would really elevate the experience. Easy to play, hard to master, and very replayable — great work! Feel free to check out my sky platformer too 😊
Thank you so much!!! I'm so happy you liked my game, your compliments make me sooooo happy!!!
I'll definitely try your game too. Thanks for testing my game❤️
This game is fantastic!! A lot of leaderboard games just feel repetitive and boring, but this one feels exciting and epic! The graphics are amazing; the music is wonderful. The game stuck to the theme wonderfully. This is honestly very impressive for being made in 9 days.
Thank you sooo much!!! Your compliments make me soo proud of myself... Im really happy that you enjoyed my game🤩
Very nice. I really like it how it changes between day and night. However, the starts could have been a different color, right now they’re too bright and saturated that I though they were obstacles. Apart from that, it’s a solid game. Well done!
Ah, you mean the stars in the Background? I see what you mean. I'm gonna change that after the game jam. Thank you for the feedback and thanks for trying out my game:)
Cute Game!
It was scaled very well for a game jam. I also like the art for the player character 👌
Thank you soo much, Im very glad you liked my game:)))
Pretty simple game idea, and that's not bad! Fonts are really hard to read, you could fix them, it should be an easy fix. Choice of music is poor in my opinion, it doesn't really suit the vibe, but that's also an easy fix.
Nevertheless, cool entry!
Thank you so much for the feedback. Im going to improve my game with your ideas. Thank you for trying out my game:)
Not bad
Thanks for playing
Really cool game! loved the art and the level design!
Thank you so much.
Im glad you liked it:)
Really fun game and great use of the assets reminded me of some old Flash games (in the best way). Just a bit of polish and some upbeat background music, and it will be addictive. Overall, great work!
Thank you, Im going to try to improve my games in the future and will update this one for sure. Thanks for the Ideas and feedback, they really help me:)
I really liked it. The night mode from the Dino game literally flashed before my eyes while I was playing yours. Nice game!
You have no idea how happy that makes me, because I also thought of the dinosaur game when I put day and night into the game. :D
Glad to hear that!
Nice Job , my only suggestion will be that adding the ability to go up and down but other than that nothing else and i also liked that you've added a leader board to this game , great idea
Thank yous so much, It makes me very happy, that you liked my little game, the up/down movement came a few times already, Ill try to include it in the future:))
Nice work! I really liked the pixel art and the overall concept. A suggestion could be to place the character lower in the screen to give the player more time to react and maybe add the ability to slow him down by holding both buttons. Just some ideas for a future update. Congrats!
Thank you for the Ideas, I will try to include them in future updates:) It makes me happy to hear that you liked my art, since this is my first time ever, drawing almost all the assets by myself:)
That's awesome! There is something special about creating your own sprites and seeing them come to life. Keep up the good work!
VERY NICE MUSIC AND ALSO A VERY NICE GAME , GOOD WORK🔥 YOU CAN ALSO TRY MY GAME AS WELL , HOPE YOU WILL ENJOY IT❣️
Thank you, Im glad you liked my game and I'll try yours too:)
Honestly I really loved the music! Gameplay is not bad but I would have liked a way to go down or a way to increase your speed and go up. Or a button to allow the user to dash thru an object for a moment. Nice Job though!
Yes, the dash was planned at the beginning, but I didn't end up including it in the game, I don't know, it just kind of got forgotten... Also, the game can't go downwards because it wouldn't fit the theme... But after the Game Jam, I'll work on my game some more...
Thanks for the review though. I'm happy you liked my game :)
Nice game, although my gameplay is not record breaking but I beat my previous score.
Ultimately, it's not about breaking records, but about having fun (like the whole event here). And I'm very happy to hear that you enjoyed trying out my game :D
quite fun, and love the graphics. keep it up!
Thank you for the feedback, I appreciate it:)
beautiful game, but at a certain point there were too many objects on the screen so the player had a too much tiny space to fly in
Yes, after about two minutes it really does get difficult... And it's always hard to balance a game. Some find it too easy, others too hard. I was initially worried it would be too easy, but now after a few minutes it might even be a bit too hard (perhaps even impossible).
But I'm glad you enjoyed it, and thank you for trying it out:)
Cool game, very replayable ^^. I got 2nd position (1851 m) in my second run, hehe.
You have potential to grow up. Your 1st jam creation was fantastic, and this also has potential. Congratulations!
Things to improve: Different sprites sizes make the game feels less “pretty” to the eyes (visual design is important hehe).
Hey Korgen, great to see you again. Thanks so much for the compliments and your feedback. It really means a lot to me.
Oh, and congratulations on second place, hehe. You won't be first, because I am! XD
Good game feeling ! Easy to play, hard to master, but with a good replay value ! Like it !
PS : You can maybe reduce a bit the defaut playing window size in Itch.io page (not in your game !) for people who plays in 1080p. By defaut the game screen is to big, and the fullscreen button is not visible directly ;)
Thank you!!! Im glad, you liked my game.
Uhm and the window size... Can you tell me how to reduce it. Im not really expirienced with Itch.io, since this is only my second game-jam:)
On your itch game page you may have a link on top left "Edit Game", near "Analytics" and "Widget" (not 100% sure of the words, I'm french and have itch in french too). On this "Edit" page, you can scroll down after the "Online files" section (where you uploaded your zip file) and you can set the window size here. 1280*720 is a good value I think, as you allow players to also switch to fullscreen !
Ah, thank you so much. Ive changed it and it looks much better now.
Thank you for helping!!!
Wow! It is a really fun game. The best thing about your game was its soundtrack, it's just amazing. Also, the day and night cycle is implemented pretty good. Great job!
Thank you so much for trying out my game and even liking it! And it makes me really happy to hear that you liked my game.
I really enjoyed this game! The movement felt great, it was really fun to dodge all the obstacles, and the bonus items added an element of quick thinking and strategy.
The art feels a little mismatched, but the music is good.
Overall, really great job on this one man!
Im glad to hear, you enjoyed my game. I agree, the Thumbnail was created with AI, since I didnt have much time left to do it, thats why it doesnt match too well with the actual game.
Thank you for your Feedback, it really helps me to know, what I should work on in the future:)
