This was a lot of fun to play! it was quite challenging, so the power ups felt even more valuable when collecting them. I was able to collect 3 of the power ups and defeat one of the bosses but I got stuck under one of the mushrooms when I flew into it while I was flat on the ground. I'll probably be coming back and trying again. Overall, this was an awesome game!
I like the idea and how well it works. Only got the flower, then died 20 times and I'm not up for that tonight xD
But what I saw I liked very much. Yes, graphics are basic but they work.
Biggest brainf*: Running left at first. Who does that? xD
After collecting Eon character teleported into the wall. Overall I liked the concept and gameplay. Sometimes camera was frustrating because there wasn't spikes/thorns visible under the screen. As I caught a bug and needed to restart whole game - I'm upset that I wasn't able to check all the pals that can be connected to the main character. For future Jams I suggest author to sacrifice the content amount in an advantage of polishing. Yes - level sizes and connection type amount impresses but lack of checkpoints/saves, settings menu (to adjust volume at least) hits same hard as other things impresses. With more polishing it would be 5* from me!
This has to be my favourite game so far! Use of the theme and the quirky animations and music it's great!! The screen transitions could be a annoying as I would fly off the screen into waiting enemies and knowing if I should be able to make a jump or not wasn't always clear, but unique skills attached to the opposite ends of a stick is very cool idea, I really think this could make for a great game, definitely worth continuing!! :)
The overall game felt really good. I looooved the animations you got when you got your abilities. I couldn't make it past the first part unfortunately no matter how many times I jumped, I couldn't get on that first platform since the stick didn't jump high enough. Maybe it's a skill issue xD
Thank you for the comment!
Please send me the screenshot of the part so that I can change the level design to make it easier or navigate you further. I didn't really playtest the game with anyone, so the levels are a bit wonky.
really liked the gameplay and theme implementation. easy 9/10
