Wow. This game is incredible. The soundtrack you've made is amazing. The idea is cool. I love your graphics and the athmosphere of the game. I feel like this game has a kind of depth, it comes from both the story and the way you realized the idea: the lighting and visual athmosphere, the amazing music and sound. I love the very simple dialogue/intro in the beginning, the fact that it explains the story in a short and simple way makes it more impactful, in my opinion. Overall, you have a great game and you have done an amazing job, I'm so happy to have played it.
Thank you for your thoughtful comment. I really appreciate that you enjoyed showing off this game and that you were able to experience what I intended. Thanks for playing :) I've been working on another project for a few months now, which will be even more in-depth than this one (9 days is a short time ^^).
This is an incredibly well-designed and polished game. The atmosphere and the story, art style, and consistency, everything is perfect.
Thank you so much for your incredible comment, it warms my heart, and I'm glad you liked it ❤️
The art and the effects were really well done! The splash in the water when you fall and the raindrops hitting the ground, great detail! Awesome use in sounds too.
Speaking of falling, I don't know if this was intended to be a rage game but the platforming felt a bit abrasive. I know it's an old man and all, but having a wall slide without a jump feels realllly bad in the soul.
Thank you so much! That wasn't really the intention. Sorry for the frustrating experience.
I loved the story and gameplay of this game. You even implemented a checkpoint and load function. Along with amazing visuals and audio. All in 9 days?? Man. This is amazing. I wish to be able to make games like this in the future.
Thank you so much for your comment :) The game isn't very long, which allowed me to finish it in 9 days. But there are certainly other improvements that could have been made in a little more time. I'd be happy to discuss it if you need any help or advice :)
I am just stunned. This game is really top quality. I was immediately impressed by the visuals and the music is so soo soo good that I can't express how happy I was to play this game. The lighting, water reflections, water splash effect, the subtle fade in and fade out when we die, the grass swaying in the wind, the rain actually stopping when it falls on a platform, everything is really thoughtful and I noticed everything. I am saying, this is one of the best game I have played in this jam.
but, there were some problems too, so take these as an advice and not as hate. The biggest frustration for me was that you haven't implemented Coyote time. Which means that we have to be very precise while jumping otherwise we will just land in the water. This may seem a small thing at first but this is the biggest thing I noticed first. How to implement? Just search for "Coyote time" in the extension manager and then add it to the player's behavior.
Then there was only one small thing which didn't cause any issue and is just a visual bug, it is the rain. When we fall, the rain seems to stop because it has the same velocity as the player. So, maybe fix it, even without this fix it is okay.
So consider these advice when you finally start to work on your game again. You have made such a beautiful game that I think you may be planning to publish it, so really consider my advice. You will do great! Have a nice day! : )
P.S. : Someday I would like to be as good as you in pixel art. That's my dream
I'd be happy to take some time for you and see what we can do to develop your style :) (just so you know, I'm French and not very good at speaking English ^^)
Thank you so much for taking the time to provide such a detailed comment. I'm not familiar with the Coyote Time expansion yet, so I'll check it out. Yes, I did notice the rain issue. Physically, raindrops fall more slowly than a human body (especially the larger ones), but I realize the rendering isn't the most visually appealing. I could have adjusted their falling speed, and it probably would have looked better. I'll keep that in mind.
In any case, I really appreciate your constructive feedback. I'll try to do as well for your game, but you've set the bar high! ^^
This game has been my favorite so far 👌 It's funny that we both came up with the same idea to use pixel art with the 2D lighting on GDevelop 😂I really like how you used the lighting for platforming inside the lighthouse .
I would put this one in the top 5 to win 👍 got no complaints
❤️ Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
This is a pretty high quality production. Really good art. I even like how you use the 2D light that is really hard to make it look good right now as it is in GDevelop. I really like it. Good work!
Thank you so much! If you need any help, I can always teach you a few things for lighting (I'm not an expert yet though ^^)
Truly an Amazing Game , Awesome Job
Thank you very much :) !
The game is beautiful and immersive, very well-made.
Thank you so much ❤️
Beautiful atmosphere and art style! The game looks and sounds amazing. It was pretty difficult for me to play because of the wind and climbing, but I really enjoyed it. Great job!
I'm sorry the wind made the climb so difficult... But thank you so much for trying it and for the kind comment :)
The atmosphere in this game is truly something special — the combination of rain effects, dynamic lighting, wind gusts that threaten your lantern, and the pixel art all come together to create one of the most immersive experiences in this entire jam. The clambering mechanic feels satisfying and the music fits the stormy mood perfectly. The story of one man climbing a lighthouse one last time to save a ship is simple but emotionally resonant. Multiple people are calling this the best game of the jam and it's easy to see why! Feel free to check out my sky platformer too 😊
Wow, what a wonderful comment! You couldn't have made my day any brighter today!!! Thank you so much! And I'd love to check out your game :)
The art, atmosphere, sound overall creates a really quiet and chilling vibe for the game... judges gonna love this and I too really liked playing this game... Overall loved it;) (I had some doubts about this game if u can respond then kindly dm me on discord or tell your discord username)
Thank you so much for your comment. I'd be happy to answer your questions, or even show it to you in GDevelop :)

this game was absolutely gorgeous!! Everything, from the sound effects, music, and ambience, to the lighting, artwork, and even the rain and wind effects, created such a beautiful atmosphere and mood :D
You've made my day! Thank you so much for playing and for this wonderful feedback ❤️
Really enjoyed the atmosphere. Music and sound effects were well done. Great job!
Thank you so much! I really enjoyed your game too :)
The theme fits perfectly and the music and sound designs are really well put together.
The visuals really put you into the game's world. Very good use of the GDevelop's light system and very good ideas for the gameplay such as the wind.
The menu is beautiful and the game has a good beginning with a clean end.
Out of all the games we tried, this one clearly stands out, well done !!
Thank you so much for this wonderful feedback. I'm so glad you liked it and it warms my heart ❤️
Nice game has a calm art style and a cool atmosphere, good job!
Thank you very much ! ❤️
It's very atmospheric! Good job on making it feel great!
There are some, rather funny, issues, for instance, you "die" as soon as your feet touch some water, which is a bit odd, but I get it. The movement is rather complex, but works great, you can actually control the guy very smoothly.
Great entry!
Thank you so much ! It would have had to be able to swim and come up somewhere, but it was a little more complicated to integrate it into the gameplay when the goal was to climb to the top. But it's an interesting thought and a mechanic that could have added an additional dimension. Thank you for your feedback ! ❤️
Great work! I found the platforming a bit unforgiving, though once you miss a jump, there’s no air time to correct it. The visuals are excellent, and the sound effects fit perfectly. I especially love the water reflection effect, and the wind mechanic is a nice touch.
Oh it's my terrible default ^^ I didn't want it to be too simple. Thank you so much !!!
Wow, the pixel art style is nice. The rain is beautiful. I love it.
Thank you so much ! :)
this gane is absolutely beautiful and extremely atmospheric. Definitely one of my favorites of this jam!!
Oh thank you very much for your support! ❤️
