Lovely idea having the map grid as connection to solving the puzzle so that you can reach the exit. It's also noticeable that I can avoid the pursing monsters after I had solved the puzzle. The music fits the atmosphere of the game.

Also, I did check the page and I realized that I can't exit the puzzle screen until I had solved it. Good thing I solved it and noticed that it exited on its own.

Like the music, like the idea and the implementation of the theme

Really like the mechanics of this, similar entry to mine. Great job!

Developer

Thank you so much for playing, I will take a look at yours as well soon!

I absolutely adore how the 2D puzzle part connects with the 3D environment and changes it. I honestly have never seen this concept before so it was incredible! I loved the cute little character, his animations and everything feel so smooth! The sound effects especially with the 2D puzzle were so soothing and made me just want to keep clicking the 2D puzzle instead of continuing xD

I loved the sound effects we found for this too! So, I totally know what you mean haha. Thank you so much for playing, I am so glad you enjoyed it!

My teammate put her heart and soul into that puzzle! Thanks for playing.

I loved the blueprint feature. I tried it a couple times and it looks like it generates random position of the tiles every time? But somehow in the game is the same path? Maybe I am wrong. But I enjoyed it overall and the monsters gave a nice touch. Good implementation of the theme. Good job!

Developer

You are correct! The tiles around the outside are randomized. The sprites represent what rooms are spawned and change position with the blueprint! We had an idea of adding Easter Eggs in the rooms around, but unfortunately ran short for time. The main path is the same only for the purpose of control. The idea was exactly as you suspected, we wanted to have it randomize all and always have a path available. We will get 'em next time, haha!

Thank you so much for your feedback and for playing our game! We are glad you enjoyed it!

I thought it was cool that you could use the blueprint to design the dungeon, solid entry!

Developer

Thank you so much, I appreciate your comment! Yeah, we weren't sure how well it would go at first when we were talking about the idea haha.  Thank you so much for playing and checking out the features! I am glad you enjoyed it!

This was a fun game. The game I created for the game jam has a robot hacking into computers in order to escape a facility and the map portion of this game was essentially what I had in mind for a little hacking subgame that I wanted to include in my project. Don't be too disappointed about not creating more levels for the game jam, what you have is already very enjoyable and I can definitely see this becoming a full game after the game jam ends. I only managed to create one level of my own game, and I didn't even get around to starting the hacking subgame before I had to submit my project.

Thank you so much for your inspiring words! Yes, it was so hard getting the procedural hooked up and have it fire ok with the puzzle, that alone was a lot of time and work. So that made it difficult to try and get more than the one level done, for sure! Or even add more to the level we had for that matter. I really appreciate your recognition here on the work we did, and thank you so much for playing our game! Means so much!

Had no idea the puzzles were procedural. That adds a whole new layer of respect to your idea. Great work!

Developer(+1)

Yupp! Our programmer pulled procedural rooms out of his hat this year, haha. I think he did an amazing job with them too. I will pass on your praises to him, thank you so much for checking it out. I hope you enjoyed.

It is incredible im a programmer and i really wanna learn procedural. I understand it in concept but never figured out how to implement it

Developer

I believe the GameDev.TV folks have a cheap course on their page for it! I believe this is where he started for learning it! I know a little about it, especially with working on this now, but it definitely took me a moment to wrap my head around it too to connect the puzzle. And I still get confused haha. But yeah, I would start there. Good luck, I hope to see it in your future games!

So close, our initial idea was a circuit that had to be completed by eliminating enemies to repair a PC!
 Thanks for playing.
