I generally like management games, and I also find the topic (markets) of this one interesting, but I don’t think the instructions are presented in a way that helps players understand how to play. I ended up checking the comments for tips, any screenshot/small guides, or strategies, but there really weren’t any there either. So I don’t think most people were able to understand what’s going on either.

I think the #1 priority for your game right now should be improving the onboarding experience so players can more easily grasp the mechanics and flow of the game.

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing it and for the feedback! Yes, definetly a very complex game with a not so deep tutorial. We are working on it

I like the art style and UI design. The game itself was very complex for me (I don't follow markets or have a finance background). The tutorial had some Spanish words mixed in which made it harder to understand. The concept is cool and the mechanics are polished. I suggest reworking the tutorial and simplifying the early game progression.

Developer

Thanks for playing and the feedback. We are working on it.

Very pretty UI, nice background music.  Some of the screens passed by a little to quickly for me to understand what they were at first, and there's some Spanish mixed in with the English and unrecognized characters in the font.

That being said, I played way longer than I intended, and ended up in the to 10 on the leader boards!  Also, capitalism is very scary.

Developer

Thanks a lot for playing and the feedback, i'm going to iterate in base of it. Thx for noticing the music jajaja

Afraid of entering the stock market and losing everything? Don’t worry,  you can try this game and lose all your money here instead 😄
Cool economy simulator! It takes a bit of time to understand what is going on, but once you do, you start to see the depth and the number of options available 🙂

Developer

Jajaja, thanks a lot for the feedback! It's super useful to iterate. And of course thanks for playing

I liked the style/aesthetics of the game so much (minimalism style enjoyer here) but embarking process(tutorial) into the mechanics didn't teach me how to play it right. I wouldn't like to say that this game is only for specific player audience/base I just think that tutorial part needed to be re-thinked somehow. Also half of the UI was in Spanish.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Yes, I realize that the tutorial should've been more gamified and not too much text. Sorry for the translation issues

Pretty nice game! I love the theme and though I find the game pretty hard to optimize, I can see myself getting sucked in more and more as I play. Not sure how this connects to the theme though but I assume its the stakeholders connection part. There's a bit of an overwhelming amount of text but the tutorial does do a good job in giving me directions. There are some text that are not in English which would be nice if it was in English so I can understand the stats n stuff of some of it! Overall, I had a fun time! Great work!

Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! Jajaj yes, I didn't have time to remark the connections between the goods on demand and the bids you put at the beggining of every turn, it was a sacrifice that had been made in favour of my mental health jajaja. Thanks a lot for the feedback, it's pretty useful to iterate over it

Good job with this one! The art style is simple, but in a good way that keeps the focus on the mechanics and systems of the game, and there are a lot of them.

This honestly feels like a really solid base for a larger management game, and also like a huge amount of work for a game jam.

And yeah, the game could probably use a bit more guidance or “hand holding” at the start, but overall it’s a really cool game and great work here.

Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback! Yes, it's a pretty complex game for a game jam, so I took note of that jaja. Your comment give me spirit to make it a commercial release. Thanks

Submitted(+1)

Slightly confusing at first, but I had a lot of fun and made a lot of money.

Developer

That's the goal!  Making money, not being confused jaja. Thanks for playing and the feedback!

I didn't get it the first time and ran my company into the ground. Second go went much better, I cornered the triangle market because that just seemed appropriate. Safe to say I got my Golden Parachute. Some things I found a little confusing, like, seeing how many factories I held of which good at a given time, which trends were heading which direction when, and understanding the wait to sell goods and where exactly that fell in the timeline of other business concerns. There was a lot of interesting strategy here, I think the UI just needs a little polish to figure out how to pass the necessary information to the player. Also didn't help it was half in Spanish too. I guess that's how it goes for these global multinationals though, now isn't it?

Developer

JAjajajaja I laughed with the localization joke. Yes, it was a challenge and suddenly I was forgetting to translate all the strings. My bad. Thanks a lot for the honest and detailed feedback. I appreciate it a lot!

This is a very complex game! While it’s not really my type of genre, I think a management game like this is very unique for a jam.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Yes, it was an idea that I wanted to test more than something that emerged from the theme

Submitted(+1)

I can see that there has been a lot of work put into this, but I personally lack any interest in the topic to really get into that - sorry.

sidenote: the game starts in spanish for me - even though the options show english selected. picking spanish and then english again fixed it for me though.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Yes, we tried to put an effort in having a localized game because I'm from Argentina, but we had some messy things there jajaja

Submitted(+1)

It's a very original concept and you have obviously put in a lot of work, it's just not something I'm interested in sorry.

Developer

Thanks for trying it out! Yes, it's a game that's for a specific public and not so much for a game jam, I figured that out mid-jam

Submitted(+1)

I will come back and try it again post jam though, I think you've put some good learnings in here that I want to try to understand.

Submitted(+1)

I know almost nothing about stocks. A lot of the jargon just flew over my head, which was made even worse by the changing language! :V

But I think I got some of it down, I was just overwhelmed by the UI and what I had to do.
Introducing elements over time would help a lot, like "Space Warlord Baby Trading Simulator".

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Yes, the challenge was that, to simplify complicated things. It wasn't achieved jjajaja. And yes, one of the things to do for the 0.2 version is exactly that, slicing the game in small chunks of information.

Submitted(+1)

Wow such a dense game for a jam this was super impressive. Hard to get your bearings but then it starts to make sense. Really well done

Developer

Thanks Sam, yes it's a little bit overscoped, but I realized about that half of the jam jaja. Thanks for the feedback!

Submitted(+1)

The music and UI was very appealing and pleasing. I liked it. The interactions were fluid and it felt very polished. I got a bit stuck  of what was happening and what I was supposed to do. I'm not very good at stocks or data, so I might not be the ideal tester here.

Feedback:

1. Sometimes the language would flip between Spanish and English which made it harder to understand. But not that big of a deal

2. There was one screen on Logistics that just said something like f2b.title or something weird

3. It's a lot to digest the first play through. Maybe some way to ease into the mechanics would be good. I ended up just pressing buttons the first couple of plays to understand what was happening.

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback! Yes, some strings weren't localized jajan't. And yes, when I was making it I thought it could be a lot for a gamejam. Thanks again for taking the time to play! I guess I need to be clearer with the goal of the game

Cool concept and I like the abstract "products". It seems like a lot of what's "optimal" play is based on predicting what the AI will do, and that wasn't totally clear to me (e.g. they all dumped into circles over triangles, when it seems like the distinction between the two is arbitrary). I really like the simulation elements here and the presentation, UI, color scheme! It feels like a game with depth

Developer

Thanks for the comment! Yes, I was trying to avoid exactly that, but I think that I'll have to work towards a clearer goal for the player. Thanks again!
