After a few attempts I managed to pass by the second level with two moving obstacles where you start on the right hand side, but the next one with 3 was too much for me.
Anway, clever mechanics and starting on the other side was quite a surprise the first time it happened.
I enjoyed this. I could see this with a high score system and a leaderboard for times. Not my go to, to play. But I could see the appeal with people for those that like competing for timing completions. When I started splitting my wire... I was like holy snap, I'm going to have to dodge objects too!?!? But there was noooonnnee. Considering we are splitting this connection up to like 4 times, it would be so crazy to be avoiding objects for all those splits. I can only assume if you worked on this project any further, those multiple splits will be facing some kind of treachery?? lol
Honestly I didn't find the multi splits obstacle so hard as the ones using 1 split with dodging objects.
Simple mechanics, nice music, nice sound effects, fair amount of play time. Nice basic visual style.
If you want to continue working on this aside from the puzzles, different stylizations and color choices would be fun too : ) <3
Thanks for playing! Yeah, a high score and leaderboards would be awesome. Maybe a "time trial" game mode as well.
I planned to add the moving obstacles in the splitting section, but i was out of time, so i couldn't added it. But i'm glad to see that people were expecting for it; it says to me that i'm going in the right direction.
Different stylizations and colors would be awesome too. I like that!
nice! simple but fun and engaging. You could add a timer and a high score system :)
Thanks for playing!
Yeah, it would be awesome. I wrote a note to add both things to the next game (or maybe this one if i fully release it).
Overall, very cute, fun little game! I really enjoyed it.
I thought that the progression was nice, going from limited obstacles and learning mechanics to more things to dodge around. When the moving blocks were introduced, that was awesome, especially when I found out that they could sever my line. It makes it such a puzzle game, not just a navigation game, and I really enjoyed that.
I would have liked to see some of the block puzzles when we got to the splitting section. That way, I would not only have to manage dodging a block on my current line, but also think about the previous line as well. Obviously, that is a much harder puzzle and maybe not as feasible with the limited time of the jam, but that is where my mind was.
In regards to the splitting, I thought it was a really cool progression. As I mentioned, it would be nice to have the moving blocks there, but I also think it would be interesting if:
1. Both lines used the same line resource (assuming that was the resource in the upper left). That way, you have to plan out your route so you don't run out.
2. You couldn't cross your own line. It becomes a puzzle of, "All right, I'm going to split my line, but I can't cut off access when I'm going to the first point."
Just some little ideas. I really like the game—nice submission and keep up the work!
If you got lasered by your own line, that would be absolutely~ diabolical XD
Thanks for playing!
Yeah, some things were planned but not implemented due to time; Splitting section with moving blocks and can't be able to cross your own line were some of them.
However, I didn't think about using the same line resource for the splitting section. That's a really nice idea. I liked it!
Some of the levels were quite difficult, great job!
Style, pallette, colors - looks cool!
Screenshots look interesting. I'll give it a try if you can get a web build working. (I'm not on windows). 🙂
Done. You can play in the browser now. Thanks for the feedback!
Hey - fun game! I liked it a lot!
I didn't reach the end but I played until there were 3 red dots. Not sure how many levels that is. It would be cool if it showed the level # in the corner or somewhere. A few levels took me many attempts! LOL
I would prefer using the arrow keys over wasd, but that's just me. 😅
Thanks for playing! I liked that level number idea; same for the arrow keys. Noted!
