This was fun! I enjoyed the theme. I was glad I ended up getting more turns which I think picked up after level 4. Because only being to have like 10 turns, I was like... ehhhh. I don't know if I can make a proper enclosure. I'm not really sure how the deck worked as far as the cards going into your hand. I don't have much experience with card deck mechanics so I just used what I was given in each hand and never seemed to have the need to discard anything, in addition to the upgrades or cards I purchased. I am not sure how many cards were even in the deck or what type of cards there were even possible. There were some interesting cards types that were super effective against certain bug types, so that was nice. Some of the time I was not sure how the special card effect plays were going to alter the board or effect the bugs but I just threw them down to close in the space. And making enclosures feels increasingly more easy toward the end of the game versus it feeling more difficult in the beginning levels. It's like the game starts off difficult and ramps up to super easy? But this may have been because I was exiling bugs pretty much with my special cards, but also the allowance of the number of turns having increased made me feel like I wasn't going to lose, to the point where I could just play cards and eventually win. Also the fact that enemies spawned into my enclosure escalated the pace of the game to where I would be passing waves without needing to do anything because I had enclosures spread out in ways that just erased waves as the entered. This also may have contributed to what felt too easy.
I think the volume is a little loud, it could use a volume slider. Even though the audio track is repetitive, I still enjoyed it. Maybe consider adding rotating audio tracks? I scored 1487 by the end of that 10th Wave. During my time playing, I was not concerned about the points, I just wanted to kill the bugs XD
I overall liked the game though. I think it would be more interesting if you added some visual effects, like animating the transition of the bugs into their new grid positions. They just pop in and out where they need, which is fine. But providing a visual impact this way would go far to enhance your project since there seems to be a minimal amount of opportunities where you could do so. Also when the Web slaps down on the board, would be a good time for a visual impact, I could see a particle effect playing there.
I would come back to visit this game to see any upgrades and or enhancements get added : )
Add more bugs, it needs a Centipede!! lol... I don't know why I chose a centipede D: forgive me!! D:
