Nice game, very enjoyable!

This was pretty incredible!  I loved the switch and draw mechanic.  It really added a nice bit of spice to the game.  Great job!

Perhaps the chilliest game I've played in the jam. Match and chill is a pretty sweet genre! I like the aesthetic and the choice to go with runes, it creates a very nice atmosphere. I had a lot of fun with this one, thanks for sharing.

this game is super cool!

This was a really fun and satisfying puzzle game.

I really liked the combination of connecting runes and choosing upgrades between rounds. It gives the game a nice sense of progression and makes each run feel a little different.

The visuals, music, and overall presentation work very well together, creating a relaxing atmosphere while still keeping the gameplay engaging.

It took me a little time to fully understand all the mechanics, but once things clicked, it became very enjoyable. I found myself wanting to keep playing and experimenting with different upgrades.

Great work, and congratulations to the team on the submission!

I feared it was yet another 3-match game, but no, it's more original.

This is the kind of game you jump on when you have a minute or two. It's well done, the jam's theme is obvious, it can be a little stressful but the tranquil music removes the tension.

The graphics are maybe a little pixelated in the shop, I cannot recognize what's on the shelf : is it a book ?

In the shop, you could write the price of the rune directly below it. Purely optional, in most Zeldas the price is given by the shop's vendor.

Thanks for the Linux build as well, I appreciate !

This was enjoyable. The requirements felt a bit steep, but the overall vibe was good. This has some potential. Good work!

Definitely a neat puzzle game, I would have liked the drawing mechanic to be a little more like snapping to the next gem or being able to retract a move instead of having to restart the draw, but thats a minor complaint. The point value on stage 3 was a bit on the high end for not having an increase in draws/switches.

Submitted

Had a lot of fun with this! The point requirement is quite high from stage 3 though. It would've have been nice with a few more draws or switches available! The art style is great and the music fits really well. Nice job!

It is a nice take on match-3 games with rogue-lite mechanics! While the runes provide some advantage, the difficulty spike is quite prominent. Good job!

Cool little puzzle game. I like that you add the shop. Would be good to add some guard rails for diagonal matching. I keep bumping into the neighbours while trying to draw my lines

This was a really interesting game. I liked the music and graphics. Really pleasing sound effects too. I always love seeing other Godot games in jams!

The gameplay took me a while to understand. At first I couldn't draw because switch mode was on. Then I couldn't break 20 points until I realized you could draw squiggly lines. I bought the explosion powerup and used it and the game froze on me. That was disappointing.

Overall, nice puzzle game with lots of potential.

This was a lot of fun. The swap between switch and draw was a mechanic I haven't seen before and it was really cool. There might need to be some tooling around with the difficulty it was really hard to clear the levels.

Love connect 3 type games. I love the art style, runes, and the music was great! My only problem was the UI. It definitely took me a couple tries before realizing that my switches and draws were limited. And as someone else mentioned I can't get past level two lol. I don't think there are enough turns.

Developer

We definitely designed the barrier of entry way too high, and ironically, the late game way too low lmao. Thanks for the feedback!

This is a fantastic take on the connect three genre.
The only part i struggled on was understanding the switch/draw, it took me more then i would like to admit to understand what the UI was telling me.

But looked great, played great, sounded great, and definitely fit the theme great.
Awesome job!

Developer

Oof yeah. Sry about the UI, more communication with animations or smth could have helped a lot more.

Nice puzzle game! Maybe more moves? I cannot pass level 2…

The visuals and audio are very cohesive. I love the chill and relaxing aesthetic. The combination of the switching and drawing mechanics adds a lot of depth, and I found the upgrade that lets you draw alternating runes to be really engaging. The difficulty ramps up quick and I had trouble beating the 3rd stage but maybe I'm just bad. I had a lot of fun though, it's so satisfying when you can clear like 3/4 the stage in a single draw.

Developer

No, it's not just you, many people have problems with the difficulty here. The Problem is that we don't communicate clearly enough what Items are good and which are not. Maybe a rarity system could be helpful?

nice game, I really like the chill music and sfx

really cool concept and aesthetic, it feels like a fresh take on match-3 games. at firstthe mechanics weren't fully understandable, but once it clicked it became really fun and satisfying. also liked how the upgrades gradually opened up more possibilities on the board.

the only thing that felt a bit rough was the balancing - the point requirements ramp up very quickly. still, for such a short development time this is honestly impressive. definitely would love to see this expanded further, especially with more lore and mechanics.

Developer(+1)

Yeah, haha, the difficulty curve is really rough, sorry for that! Some Upgrades are really strong that we basically balanced the game around them, which we probably shouldn't have done. Thanks for your kind words!

Please, sir, I'd like some more gems!

I love match three games and this is a really interesting twist on that mechanic. I spent a lot of time in early levels trying to finesse diagonals draws. I think those weren't meant to be possible, but I could sneak through with trial and error. To that end, I really appreciated that failed draws didn't use up a line. The shop between stages to buy upgrades is great, as soon as I got the runes which unlocked alternating patterns the board vastly opened up.

The point requirements get out of hand quickly, though part of that is probably this issue where gems stop spawning. Very long draws also slowly used up the line trail, making it difficult to track which gems had already been selected, even though the gem's appearance does change a bit once it's been selected.

I'd love to play more!

Fix is up :D

Also thank you so much to play that game really thoroughly, that means a lot.

Also, as a part of our fault, there is a merge mechanic where you can upgrade your runes making them way better. Maybe the difficulty is now more manageable! Gonna add that to the Description...
