Beautifully done! It was a bit glitchy to pickup and move connectors around but it was a blast regardless. Good job!

Developer

Thanks a lot for giving it a play!

I agree, the pic-up mechanic could do with some work!

I am glad to hear you had fun though, thanks again!

This is a very literal implementation of connections theme. Very good, I had fun playing the game. Also very good mechanics

Thank you very much for playing and leaving a review!

I am glad you enjoyed the game, and weren’t too frustrated by the mechanics (or the annoying pick-up-the-damn-cable bug)!

Thanks so much for the kind words!

This is a great game. nearly made a similar game as this. the cable interaction was a little taxing, but still fun. great job on the voice lines.

Developer

Ahh, thanks so much for playing and the nice review!

I agree the cable handling needs some work, there is a very annoying bug sometimes affecting the ability to pick them up…

I am glad you had fun and enjoyed the voice lines! Thanks again for giving it a play!

The lovely contract and notepad were very cute. i really liked the voice- and soundeffects.
I had a hard time picking up cables, but at least in my second shift I improved by 4 :)

Developer

Thanks for giving mine a play!

BTW; I love that we had similar ideas and even names!

I do wish I figured out the cable bug earlier, as it is a very annoying issue indeed.

There are nowhere near as many character interactions as you have, but I am glad you enjoyed my take on this as well!

Thanks again for playing and the kind review!

very cool game! i loved the voice acting, really well done :) it was hard to hear at times i think an option for subtitles would clear that up. well done, love all the little details!!

Developer

Thank you very much for giving it a play!

I really wanted to focus on accessibility, so subtitles and such were high on my list! I think I just ran out of time or forgot about it until too late, but will probably look to add it in later.

It was a lot of fun coming up with different voices and scenarios, so I am glad to hear you enjoyed it!

Thanks again for playing and leaving a review, I truly appreciate it!

Hadn’t expected that level of Voice acting. Still some notes/subtitles would be helpful. Had sometimes trouble understanding them correctly. And those cables where wonky.

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot for playing!

I did intend to add subtitles for accessibility reasons, but I got carried away near the end and it slipped my mind unfortunately.

The cables are also not ideally configured, I suspect I know what the issue is, but figured it out wayyy too late!

I hope you had fun regardless, and thanks again for the review!

Got to the end. 250 and 100 penalties. Good game jam. A little hard to click on at times.

Developer

Thank you so much for giving it a play!

There is definitely a little bug when trying to pick up a cable sometimes (it helps if you approach the top plugs from above, and the bottom ones from below), and I unfortunately noticed it too late…

I am glad you persevered and got through it, and I hope you had fun!

It was fun to play. If only the cables could be reset to their original location somehow. As it is now they tend to glitch out and become unclickable

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing, rigg!

You should be able to put the cables back into the docks by hovering over any of them, but there is also a “secret technique” that I hint at in the contract - If you stretch them very far, they will snap back into the docks! The ones that fall onto the desk were supposed to break (and later respawn), but I think I forgot to add the visuals for that.

Sorry for the confusion, but thanks again for playing!

This was really fun to play, I loved the voice acting and the story, I think diary would come in handy sometimes missed what they wanted me to do but otherwise was great!

Developer

Thank you for playing (and reviewing)!

I did intend to add some text/subtitles for accessibility, but that unfortunately got lost along the way.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the voice acting though, I had a lot of fun coming up with silly scenarios and dialogue! Thanks again!

This idea came up in our brain storming session, you pulled it off really well! great solo entry, I enjoyed lastening to the different calls!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot, Bootnut!

I am glad you enjoyed the audio! My voice was so strained after all the attempts of trying to sound like multiple different people…

Thanks for taking the time to write a review!

Nice game. I enjoyed it. some wired bugged and i couldn't place back but its ok. they just missed their call I guess :P I loved the implementation of the theme. i would agree it was hard to read the departments but other than this it felt great playing it. Good Job!

Developer

Thank you very much for taking the time to play and review!

I did intend for there to be some guessing of the departments, but not that the text was hard to read. Unfortunately I didn’t get around to replacing that after putting it in. There is a bit of a bug with re-docking the wires, but there is a secret technique (hinted at in the contract) where you can stretch them very long and they will snap back by themselves!

I am very happy that to hear that you had fun regardless! Thanks again!

i liked your game but it was hard to read and it'S was hard to connect the wires but i liked your game i felt myself a little bit as a operator it's must been hard to make this but i loved when i connect the wires i hear them like those old telephone operators centers i think good job it's a good game personaly only the music was bad because there was non of them but still a good game .

Developer(+1)

Ah, thank you so much for playing and leaving a review!

I agree, the text on the desk is a bit hard to read. I only managed to add them in the last few hours, and didn’t have time to test if the web export compressed stuff too much, so I apologise for that unintended difficulty! The cables are also indeed a bit fiddly, there are some detection bugs where they do not always seem to find the correct dock/socket, but that’s why I went and added so many! As for music, I definitely did not have time, but agree it would have been nicer with some ambient music in the background.

I am very grateful to hear that you had fun, and felt a bit of what it must have been like to be an exchange operator in the past!
