I logged on thininking I'd have a bit of fun playing a quick game and instead came across this and ended up nearly in tears.
Well done - this is a great start and I see this could become a great game about loss.
I do suggest you add a trigger warning on the submission page though.
Short but sweet. Would've liked more things to do. Good job, and I hope you continue your game development journey.
i like that it was short and a bit cryptic! looks super polished, keep working at it. lots of potential, well done! :)
Turns out I'm angry, my feet hurt from kicking the shelf, and I was married. Finding some new stuff about my past every day. :D Well done with the game!
The intro is very good, it made want to see where it was leading. Nice aesthetics and story
I can really see the potential here. Combining a narrative game with pixel art is a great way to convey sadness through simplicity. Good job!
It’s a nice way of storytelling for a beginner. Dark. Sad. I think the artistic aspect is quite sufficient. When I first read the description, I thought it would be a short game—and it really was short. I only pressed F three times and left-clicked a few times. Still, for a first attempt, even making a game with an ending for a game jam is an achievement. I hope you continue this journey and tell many more stories. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so very much for your nice and kind words! I have been writing short stories since I was young and am on the fence whether I will turn this into a (now that I did this for the game jam) or turn it into a book of sorts. Definitely want to get better at game development and try to expand on this though :)
its like a short film, I played it twice. Not sure if I sure fully understand the story, or if I should, but I certainly felt what the author might have been going for.
It feels like there is a story in here; I know this is for a game jam so it's more of a learning experience but I wish you had pushed more story. I feel like there is a hook, you should roll with this and finish it up some more!
Man, I feel like having a midlife crisis :D Very simple, cool game. I love the eerie feel you guys got there. Some more content would be great. Thank you for submitting a game.
