ah no i didnt mean i dont understand it, i know the objective, deliver the letters but to whom? thats why i said i needed to guess who is the target to deliver it. The Startinstructions are clear, take the letters, beware of the heat, buying water, getting paid but you can just move between all possibile receivers and hope you find the right one , i didnt see any hint to who i am should deliver

Thank you for the honest Feedback.
You dont need to worry, i dont take it the wrong way as long as it isnt a personal insult so most feedbacks are save and i am glad for every honest feedback i get. I plan to develop the game further, the next step would be a Demo Build so there is a long way before that, and you can point out as much as you like i am gathering the feedback to improve the experience in the game and my skills too.
the fish shadows where indeed drawing in my attention, i did have them on the todo list, but with the time for the jam and the last bugfixes they still got out of my focus.
The Backpack was my mistake, i intentionally wantet to use the x patch on the button, then i was wondering if this was clear enough so i decided on a bigger button on the right sight. So yes you are right that might be confusing and it helps a lot that you say that the patch is drawing the attention, that was a really hard ting to decide wether it is enough or not.
The Start Shift button also, for the time being i will make it bigger and more readable, but i already are gathering ideas hiw it could fit better into the screen and enviroment.
I am glad hat the music and art are working good for you together and that you could enjoy it, i specially made the art for the game and the music was a long and very carefully search so thanks for mentioning that :)
Very cute, i could play all levels and collect all stars. Nice idea shrinking the cube to get through some places :) When you try to play (chrome) in fullscreen, i cant play it, there it dont react but tbh that could also be a prolem from itch, i saw several problems on other jams too, but just to let you know.
The old TV/VHS effect is really cool and i like it a lot. I am not really good in bullet hell games. I got to stage 2 after a few times i tried. I got confused in the second level, because the enemy did shoot while i did not see him first. Also i dont really see a timeframe or progress how long i need to shot him. In the first lvl i tought i need to survive until the progress bar is full in the seconds the progress bar was already full then empty then half then empty again. For players who are not familar with the game, a short note would be good. The controls are working really well and the music and visuals are matching good. a nice job
Of Debt & Dips – A Sunny Dystopia is a cozy 2D foodtruck management game set in a bright, slightly broken post-apocalyptic beach world.
You live on a small houseboat, grow vegetables in improvised planters, fish food and junk out of the water, buy supplies from Mara’s shop and cook simple beach dishes for odd customers before their patience runs out.
Earn Fuel Credits, pay off your debt, upgrade your tiny setup and try to keep the foodtruck running while the world around you stays cheerful, rusty and just a little suspicious.
Free to play (MVP)

I worked the last 3 weeks on this for a Game Jam, i know i did not invent the wheel new, but i had fun making it and think that others also could have fun :) I am looking for some people who might have fun trying it out and give me Feedback to Improve.
This is my MVP Build, so there are still a lot of things missing and planned for further Developement.
At the Moment you can:
-get a glimpse on the Story
-Plant 3 basic Plants on your Boat
-Upgrade some Plantingspots
-Catsh 2 different Fishes, 1 upgrade material and one piece of junk (later it will become more but that is later)
-Cook 6 diefferent recipes
-serve 7 different customers with different patience
-pay depts
-save/load is working (at leat i got told so and testet it myselfe)
-there is a Turtorial “Handbook” with some notes
-at the end of the day you get an overview (served customers/income/payed depts) with some reactions
The Minigames are far from finished, they are very simple (basically just press/click/hold), i will improve that. Also i am working on the Art, the Texts and the Story and much more.
** I hope to get feedback:
Is it readable,
did you understand it,
what can i do better,
what part is not clear enough, is it to difficult/easy and wich part of it
what works good for you
and whats on your mind.
Any Feedback is welcome **

The Page didnt save it so i will add it after the Jam: Music by Silverman Sound Studios: https://www.silvermansound.com/free-music
Thank you, yes the Models are only placeholders for the Jam, i am not very skilled in drawing sprites and movement cycles that why i tought about a preset and placeholder.
The Plot is a bit unclear at the beginning, basically you where build by Nemo, your father and your Island is not stable anymore, thats why you decide to leave, and while you are leaving you finding some old memorys , a subtle clues as to why Nemo called himself Nemo and why he is forgetting everything, suffering from dementia, and a way to use the stars to sail across the sky.
Thank you for your feedback and playing :)
I really thank you for the feedback. The Visuals are indeet something, that seems to be one of the things i can do nicely so it is nice to read the compliment for that :)
The colliders will be my grave one day, it was the first time i was trying to do a platformer/Metroidvania inspired Game. I was planning to work on this further after the Jam-step by step but was thinking that i will make only a polished prologue out of this and switching to Twine for the Story and the important visuals, because the watercolor/aquarell is taking a lot of time and memoryspace. It is a difficult decision.
Controlling the game with the mouse (unfortunately, I don’t have a controller) is a bit awkward when changing direction because the mouse cursor (in the browser version) appears outside the game window and doesn’t reset within the game itself. I love the sound the crab makes when it falls—it always made me laugh. The seagulls don’t seem to deal any damage, do they? Collecting pearls, randomly generated islands, sailing away on the boat, and the cute crab animation it all looks really lively. What are those lightning? bolts you can pick up?
It is a nice simple game with a good level. I could not jump on some objects and collect the cheese there and i could not reach the one platform between the central counter and the side counter , that could be because i am really bad and this sort of games. A nice game in this short time but i missed a bit of the theme in form of more visible unique things or some sailors trying to stop the rat.
The only element that actually addressed the theme was the fact that I was on a ship, but the rat could just as well have been anywhere else.
A bit of narrative, some kind of intro text or the like ,would have added a little more depth to the whole thing; for instance, a story about the previous captain’s rat wanting to steal the cheese to spark a mutiny so its old captain could take the helm again ,something along those lines.
This is a really nice platformer, i had a lot of fun (and i dont like platformers in general or play them really often) it reminds me of super mario, yes i am that old. I could not interact with the pirate with the marker on his head so i dont know if he was telling me something. The levels are nice done and balanced, alltiough i did die very often because of the sharks. Based on the fact that i am not a super good player in gaes like this, it seems that i slidet from some of the colliders without that i was moving. The pixelart was hilarious. A really well done game
This is a supercute cozy game. I like the art and music, the small fishing game and the restaurant kitchen is my favorite part and i think you matched the theme great. What i found confusing are the action bars, in the fishing scene it seems to have no effect at all to wait until you reach the green area. Also it did took me a few minutes to realize that you do have a throwing animation for the fifhing route. The hitboxes seems to react a bit low and sometimes the UI for throwing your route is not visible or ending right after the beginning, same goes for the tables, i do have the prepared meal but cant serve it. A really nice job, i liked it.
So the game loop is really simple but well done. The Graphic works well but the music loop will give me nightmares :D It was definitely the right choice to made 2 letters out of one its much better to read. I wish i could shoot the enemy ship too, i dont know if this is meant to be that they dont do damage to me, they only blocked me and sometimes i could not move out and they carried me out of the map. You could expand the gameplay if you want to continue developing but you dont need to add more narrative if you dont want to it works for this genre like this too, even if it is very simple, but the base for this is there. I was confused, because there is no hint how much gold you get from your treasures , sometimes it was an overly extreme amount of gold and sometimes it was like nothing while the lootspeed was so slow. you mentioned that the amount of treasures is higher while the loot speed is low but i did not see the difference, that could need some polishing. But it was fun to play, good job
I do like the idea. It has some relaxing vibe but the textblock from the dogs you have on board made it hard to stay concentrated. It make you feel a bit overwhelmed with information while the rest of the shipping is an whole empty space until you reach your destinated island. The text itselfe is nice written, a bit hard to read because its a lot on a small box sometimes, but i think you could made a better feeling if the dialogue/monologue is cut with some time between. few seconds could make much more impact and give a better feeling while reading. The shepard made me smile with the name on the bowl also that he could tell all the sheeps apart at the same time a bit unsettling. Well done
I want it as a Desktop App, where the fish is flying through space automaticly, it is a nice and chill experience and feels really smooth while playing. The eyes are my favorite part but i wish there was some more story or something matching to read while swimming, but that may be a personal opinion. Well done
The technical side: First off, I’m a huge fan of the typewriter style used for the text appearing on screen (I want that too! ;D), the visuals are really good, and the accompanying music is fantastic. I let the Sudoku run longer during my last playthrough, and it had a completely different effect compared to the first time I played. I think the whole thing is open to different interpretations depending on who is playing. The Sudoku mechanic worked wonderfully and fit well from a technical standpoint. Regarding the gameplay experience: themes of neglect and emotional blackmail are evident on many levels relationships, parents, family, friends, new acquaintances; it fits regardless of the context you apply it to. Right from the start, there was an oppressive feeling, though the first chapter offered a glimmer of hope that things and the story would improve. At first, I thought it was about depression and that the captain was an emotional anchor you’d introduced, but the moment he said, “I am an excellent captain, ask anyone!”, I wasn’t so sure anymore. The tension continued to build effectively in Chapter 2, the food selection and the pajama scene provided a brief moment of levity, but the real climax came with the tea, no matter how you prepared it, it was “wrong.” That feeling really came across, whether intentional or not. Also, the line “finally found safety” in the second chapter was beautifully placed.
However, the part that felt rather incomplete to me was the ending involving the brother, compared to the rest of the game, the conclusion felt too rushed too “flat” i would say.
You really did a great job, and I’m actually a bit envious that you kept it small like thatwithout immediately getting bogged down in countless “perfectionist” rabbit holes that leave you dissatisfied with what you’ve created. At least, that’s how I imagine it. Well done
Yes 48 Hours are a very short Time, i hope you will continue the Game, i really want to play a updatet and working Version. The Artwork looks amazing, a good choise with the Photo and the Comic Art Characters, i am a bit envious , that is much closer to the Style i wantet to do in my twine, then what i actually have now. So good job to you all.
thank you for playing and the nice Feedback. yes i underestimated the art myself that is why the gameplay is Missing some elements but i got the update ready for after the jam. I added a simple memory loop, you will be able to find pairs and there will be a small UI who shows you a small text, some small icons and fixed it, so that you can interact with the bed and decide if you want to wake up.
I honestly didnt think of the bed before, because i wantet to create at least one end game function so that Players are not confused if they missed Something because nothing happens anymore.
Thank you :) I got a bit out of time, that is the reason for the cutoff edges on the screen and i am honest, i did not know how much size i needet to paint so that the player didnt see the empty spaces and as i finished it, i was like oh… well…shit. I am glad you enjoyed it and thank you for the feedback
It is very interesting, but the problem is, that most parts dont work correctly. The Idea is great, a detective Game with Twine and invetory system, with map and evidences, i can imagine what you wantet to do. My first tough was, i interact with the textes (for thoose who didnt get trough, spacebar, a small note in the game would be nice) and read your information, then you can travel on the map and see the different evidences. The hover over the evidence did not work, so i guess you did not write the implemention yet. I working on a twine game too, likewise with items, map, systems, travel and i would reccomend using sugarcube for what you have planned because , and thats only my opinion from what i see, you are making a great idea into a small adventure system with inventory, evidence, maps and locations, a persistent state and ui menu, for that sugar cube is much more stable.
For the Game/prototy itselfe: I like the idea very much, i am a fan of story based adventures, detective mechanics and looking for clues. Your Idea with the Invetory is great and, based that i guessed it correctly that you can find evidences on different locations, would defently want me to play further and want to know the story behind it. There is a great room for improvements, like small audios like rustling paper or steps in the street, visual polish or a textbox/backgrounds, not much only small things. I would enjoy to play a stable version and more of it.
Based on how I interpret the context of the comic, you feed your AGI knowledge about humanity, science, and programming, yet end up with nothing to show for it other than a small companion with three different facial expressions. At first, I wondered if there was more to it, like snippets of text or other special moments, but there isn’t anything else. That’s a shame in itself, though understandable if my interpretation is correct. That said, the subject matter certainly offers plenty of food for discussion.
The art is simple and great, i got a bit confused while using the flashlight, because i didnt know what to do, so i just klicked, a small note would be nice. Fullscreen would be optimal for this, it would make a great impact and prevemt the mouse from flipping out of the screen, also it would prevent that the atmosphere gets lost because your bright white background from the game page collide with the dark and dimmed theme of the game. I liked the story and the idea and you did right with choosing a simple, uncluttered grafic. The sound works great as well, good job.
Its hard not to notice, the music was well placed and got my attention, i felt like waking up from some quite and safe place only to coming into a noisy world.
I used chrome and firefox as a browser but i dont think that it is a problem with the game. I played quite some games that didnt work smoothly on browser but on download.
