[WebGL Build - Free] - Looking for Feedback - Of Debt & Dips - A Sunny Dystopia

Of Debt & Dips – A Sunny Dystopia is a cozy 2D foodtruck management game set in a bright, slightly broken post-apocalyptic beach world.

You live on a small houseboat, grow vegetables in improvised planters, fish food and junk out of the water, buy supplies from Mara’s shop and cook simple beach dishes for odd customers before their patience runs out.

Earn Fuel Credits, pay off your debt, upgrade your tiny setup and try to keep the foodtruck running while the world around you stays cheerful, rusty and just a little suspicious.

Free to play (MVP)

I worked the last 3 weeks on this for a Game Jam, i know i did not invent the wheel new, but i had fun making it and think that others also could have fun :) I am looking for some people who might have fun trying it out and give me Feedback to Improve.

This is my MVP Build, so there are still a lot of things missing and planned for further Developement.

At the Moment you can:

-get a glimpse on the Story

-Plant 3 basic Plants on your Boat

-Upgrade some Plantingspots

-Catsh 2 different Fishes, 1 upgrade material and one piece of junk (later it will become more but that is later)

-Cook 6 diefferent recipes

-serve 7 different customers with different patience

-pay depts

-save/load is working (at leat i got told so and testet it myselfe)

-there is a Turtorial “Handbook” with some notes

-at the end of the day you get an overview (served customers/income/payed depts) with some reactions

The Minigames are far from finished, they are very simple (basically just press/click/hold), i will improve that. Also i am working on the Art, the Texts and the Story and much more.

** I hope to get feedback:

Is it readable,

did you understand it,

what can i do better,

what part is not clear enough, is it to difficult/easy and wich part of it

what works good for you

and whats on your mind.

Any Feedback is welcome **

Looks interesting, I would be willing to playtest it if you are willing to give me some feedback on my game.

StarTalon, you can find it here. https://mercstudios.com/play/startalon332/

At first glance though I had to push my screen resolution up to the maximum to stop the right hand side of the game screen getting cut off.

Also if I tried to go full-screen at a smaller resolution I got a grey screen.

Thanks, that is already very useful! I had another report about fullscreen/aspect ratio problems, so this seems to be something I definitely need to investigate. Could you tell me which screen resolution was cutting off the right side, which resolution worked correctly, and which browser you were using? Also, when fullscreen turned grey, did the game return normally after leaving fullscreen or did you have to reload the page?

I will take a look on your game in the next time , do you have a specific way you want the feedback?

So the default max resolution that has no cutoff for me is 1920 x 1080, my max resolution. even if I drop it down to 1680 x 1050 it cuts off. Same with next resolution down, 1600 x 900. I am running the Brave Browser on Zorin Linux. The grey still stays if I hit escape but what I have noticed is that if I click on the grey then it loads in fullscreen fine, even at lower resolution. I also tested it on ungoogled chromium and its the exact same.

Well ideally I would like feedback on my game carved in tablets of solid gold and encrusted with diamonds, hand delved by a beautiful nymphomaniac.

But if that is a little bit much just give me your feedback here. Whatever jumps out at you. After trying out the first map I would take a peek at map 4 and 12 if I were you. Those are the most visually impressive.
