I'm not going to judge the extensive use of AI tools, but I like that you were totally honest with it.
The game itself is interesting. The graphics are nice and consistent, the choice of music is matching the SNES Punch-Out ambience well. Having to concentrate both on the incoming attacks and on how to attack is disturbing at the beginning, but once it's clear, playing can be more fluid.
On another hand, I don't see the link with the theme, unless it's "connecting my fist to your jaw". ;-)
There are some problems, though:
- I have a French keyboard, and W and A are not on the same location as on a QWERTY keyboard. So the controls are less intuitive. You should have remapped the actions to the physical keys (but does ChatGPT even know that ?). "Luckily", the default actions are also bound to the controller, but having one hand on the controller and the other on the keyboard, no thanks.
- I stopped playing against the woman because she speaks. Even if I have a pretty good understanding of English, I'm not a native speaker, so it takes me too long to read both what she says and what I can answer, I'm getting punched. If this game ever goes on, it would need to be localized.
As a "laboratory test", it ends up quite good. But globally speaking, AI should not do everything.
