Beautiful little platformer with awesome visuals. Well done!
I enjoyed the game. The only thing I would tweak a bit is the falling speed
thanks for playing, unfortunately I didn’t have time to do tuning, but I got a lot of feedback regarding the falling sensation, thank you for paying attention
one of the only games with an actual story, I liked it!
thank you for your kind comment, however I’m sure there are many games with great stories, thank you for playing
What a beautiful platformer! I really enjoyed getting all the upgrades and becoming a powerful hedgehog. The story was also more touching than I was expecting. Great job!
thanks for playing
Cute platformer - very responsive controls!
Some of the bat placements were very challenging and at one point they weren't reseting when I died so I was effectively getting spawn camped by some bats.
Beautiful assets!
After dying, the bats were actually supposed to reset their target and return to their original positions. But while trying to implement this, I ended up breaking a lot of things. I couldn’t manage to fix it, and it’s driving me crazy. I hope it didn’t completely ruin the gameplay experience. Still, thank you for taking the time to play.
The resetting worked in some cases (bats that spawn hanging upside-down?) but not all, so you're partway there :) Still sounds like a frustrating bug to squash.
Without knowing how your game is set up, hard to offer any advice. I'd probably track the original spawn position of every enemy and, upon loading at a checkpoint, tell each enemy to reset back to that position in the passive state.
actually I’m not refreshing the whole scene, just a black UI image slowly fades to dark, after moving the player to the checkpoint it slowly becomes transparent again, when I tried to return the bats to their previous state and put their animations back into sleep mode, I saw them flapping frantically inside the walls, the cause of the bug is probably something very simple, however when you are sleepy and under time pressure it can be hard to notice obvious errors :D I’ll take another look at the first opportunity
Nicely done, the game looks great. With a bit more polish this game would be perfect
thanks for playing
What a brilliant game! Very visually pleasing and also plays real nice too :) I love the level design and spider enemies, they provide just the right amount of difficulty. The sound effects and music are perfect for this style of game and create the right sort of mood. The dash ability is also very cool! Very well done and good luck for the jam :)
Thank you for your kind comment. I’m glad you liked it. I didn’t want the game to be especially difficult—I wanted it to be something that can be completed. That’s why the burst spikes are so strong. My main priority was actually to learn how to use the timeline. Thanks for playing.
Beautiful assets and design. Job well done!
thanks for playing
Awesome platformer with great graphics and color palette. I can't believe you build this all yourself in 10 days. Well done.
Thanks for playing. Everything is possible with good planning and keeping the scope small :D Unfortunately, I was only able to complete about 10% of what I had in mind.
Can't believe how much you got done in ten days! Love the colour palette, and the mechanics are really polished.
Would've loved controller support, but I'm nitpicking. Great work!
Wow!! The ending was amazing and the getting upgrades aspect was awesome. It took me a bit to get used to the movement, but I had lots of fun. How did you make the cutscenes? Was it the Timeline tool? They were probably the best part of the game.
Thank you for your kind comment. Your feedback means a lot to me. My main goal in this jam was to learn and use Unity Timeline, and to tell a story with what I learned. Thanks for playing.
Absolutely amazing. I had an inkling where it was going at the end, but it still hit just as hard as if i didn't know. Wonderfully cute, great artwork, mechanically reminds me in some ways of Super Meat Boy (but not as brutal!). Phenomenal work. Thank you!
It’s not actually a very deep story, but it was something I wanted to get out of my system. Back in 2019–2020, I saw some images of animals that died in the wildfires in Australia. There was a picture of a mother and baby hedgehog that had died in the fire. I’m not usually a sensitive person, but that image really affected me. This game is just an alternative where that baby hedgehog didn’t die. Thanks for playing.
Very well done, everything comes together for a cohesive experience!
I had a sense of where the story was going to go before the final scene, it was very somber but hopeful.
Introducing more mechanics as the levels progressed by unlocking them (through fruit!) works very well.
The dash has much tighter control than I originally expected it to, I was able to use it effectively without overshooting small areas I was aiming for.
The quills are super strong and somewhat trivialize enemies.
The thorn shot looks really impressive, I was surprised it didn't also damage enemies. It works well when jumping directly up to easily place one directly beneath you. However, it can be a bit awkward in any other circumstances; I sometimes had trouble going from side to side of a chasm. I also managed to accidentally place one directly above me which completely trapped me in place, so it's a good thing they're temporary. :)

Your feedback means a lot to me. I wanted the game to be not especially difficult, but something that can be completed. Unfortunately, I couldn’t spend enough time on playtesting because I was trying to finish all the content. Thank you for paying attention to all these details and for playing my game.
Well done on your game. Awesome job!
thanks for playing
Great job on the game! I really enjoyed the different mechanics and story!
thanks for playing
Awesome game! I'm not a big fan of platformers but this game had enough interesting mechanics to keep me engaged. The progression of abilities felt rewarding and well paced. The game page is gorgeous, the self-made assets are beautiful and the story is cute but genuinely touching. Great work!
Thank you for your kind comment and for playing my game.
I really loved this platformer, from gameplay and art style to the narrative, and as mentioned in other comments the presentation page is gorgeous.
A little bug: the bats are not resetting when the character dies and returns to a save point.
thanks for playing. that bug makes me crazy but I m gonna fix it
First of all, I really want to compliment the presentation of the game page itself. The visuals, colors, screenshots, and overall atmosphere are very beautiful and already help set the tone before even starting the game.
I also really liked the narrative aspect of the project. The connection between the beginning and the ending was genuinely touching, especially the way the light guides the player throughout the journey. It gave the adventure a very emotional feeling, and I thought the idea of the mother continuing to guide the child was really sweet.
The progression system was another highlight for me. Unlocking new mechanics over time made the gameplay feel rewarding and kept things interesting during the platforming sections.
I also have a few small suggestions that could improve the experience even more:
Overall, I had a really good time with the game. The story was meaningful, and I honestly would love to see more levels or future expansions of this idea. Great job, and congratulations on the project!
Thank you for playing my game and for your kind comment. Unfortunately, I could not manage to implement everything I had in mind. I originally wanted to show the abilities with a proper UI and display their cooldowns to the player, but due to poor planning I had to leave out many features. You are also right about the text. It was my first time trying something like this in a game, and the timings are definitely not enough. Even I sometimes cannot read everything in time, even though I made the game :D Thank you very much for your valuable feedback!
Thank you for the reply!
Honestly, I think you did a great job regardless. It's very easy to look back after a jam and see all the things we wish we had time to add, but what you already managed to create was a really enjoyable experience.
And yes, I completely understand what you mean about the dialogue timing. It's one of those things that only becomes obvious once other people start playing and reading at different speeds.
I don't know if you're interested in continuing development after the jam, but I would genuinely love to play a future version with all the ideas you originally had in mind, especially the additional abilities, UI improvements, and other planned features. I think the game has a lot of potential.
Congratulations again on the project, and thank you for sharing it with us!
Really love the work and the art style and very nice choice of music. Loved the characters and got to be honest the fairy guardian totally reminded me of Navi from Legend of Zelda so definitely had me smiling whenever their pop up came up.
Overall loved this platformer and had fun playing it :)
If this game reminded anyone of Zelda, I would honestly be very proud :D Thank you for your kind comment and for playing.
I wasn’t emotionally ready for this game. The end left me weeping.
I’m normally not the biggest fan of Platformer, but I just wanted to get the tiny hedgehog out of the cave back to their mother. The skills, and the progression are well made.
I loved the fact in the intro, that they were 2D Characters, and when they turned they had no depth. Total Rollercoaster of emotions.
Overall Masterpiece of a GameJam game
