Game was fun - Music matches the aesthetics of the palm trees, sun, and road design. I enjoyed playing!
I know I have a 10 year old computer but I had a message whole time in top left "Video memory has been exhausted (636 MB over budget). Expect extremely poor performance." The game did seem like it could be moving faster, so it was probably slowed down for me is my guess from that. Still fun though!
I completely agree, I noticed that too. I just didn’t have enough time to optimize the game properly during the jam, but I’ll definitely work on it later. Thanks a lot for playing my game and for the feedback, I really appreciate it!
I like the style. I also made a few runs. its easy to play it. And once I found you can boost, i didn't want to go slow :D I also explored the room and I loved the characters as well and skins for the cars... maybe you should aim higher with this one. More than an endless runner. My humble opinion. Congrats for your submission.
Thanks a lot! Glad you enjoyed it. And yeah, maybe you’re right - this idea could become something bigger than just an endless runner.
I really enjoyed this game and had to play a few rounds to get a decent amount of coins. You can change car skins, and the graphics have a fun, glowing feel/look. Well done!
Thanks a lot for playing and for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed the neon style and the car skins. Nice to hear you went back for a few more runs to collect more coins too :)
Lovely game, I am not a good driver, but in the end I managed to collect some coins before running into other cars :D
I enjoyed the design and smoothness of the movement. And I wish I could spend the money I collected on something :D
Great job :)
Thanks :)) Glad you enjoyed it, and yeah, upgrades/shop stuff is something I’d like to add in the future too
Theme is more abstract and that's fine. Would be cool if the room had a use. if you ever plan on updating the game, maybe a upgrade system or little rewords that could be used to decorate the room. I wasn't sure how fast the car was meant to going. Maybe some effects to help give a sense of speed?
Overall I thought it was a good start to a cool game.
Thanks a lot for testing the game and for the feedback!
Yeah, I’m actually already working on some of the things you mentioned, especially making the room more useful and improving the feeling of speed while driving. Glad you enjoyed it overall!
Awesome game and style! I thought it was cool you could explore the room as well as the driving part of the game.
Thanks a lot!
Glad you liked the style and the little room exploration part too. I wanted the game to feel a bit more cozy than just driving around endlessly.
Really enjoyed the relaxing driving experience and the cool neon environment. The visuals look great, and cruising around in the vehicle was surprisingly enjoyable.
I’m not entirely sure how it connects to the jam theme, but I still had a good time playing it 😄
Glad you enjoyed the vibe 😄
Yeah, the theme connection is definitely more on the abstract side. I was mostly going for the feeling of endless movement and connection through the road/environment
The artstyle blew me away. Awesome stuff there. Gameplay was a basic subway surfer. Music was vibing.
Thanks a lot for testing the game and for the feedback 😄
For the music I used electronic music assets from OVANI Sound that I bought ages ago in a Humble Bundle, and I just realised I completely forgot to mention them in the game description 😅 Glad you liked the vibe!
Against my better judgement I download the random drive file and it ended up being a solid little game! I'm not totally sure how it's related to the theme, but it has a fun look and sound to it. Good work
i would think downloading a random drive file would carry the same risks as downloading a zip file from itch
Yes exactly my thoughts lol, hence why I downloaded. But you just don't really see that so I wasn't sure the reasoning!
Thanks a lot for the feedback 😄 I uploaded the project to Google Drive because the game is over 1GB due to the assets I used, and itch.io has upload size limits for direct uploads.
When I have a bit more free time, I’ll probably look into ways to reduce the game size. Thanks again for trying it out :)
Requiring access to drive to download the file is frustrating
Fixed! Thank You!
