Hey, this was my bad. A piece of unrelated CC I was using was causing issues anytime new alien sims showed up in-game (for some reason, it wasn't causing problems when I placed them from the gallery), and I didn't realize this when I posted. It's working fine now, and sorry for assuming it was your mod.
