This is just an unimplemented feature (Zip64 most likely) by whatever is being used to unzip the file. Later versions of WinZip fix this as does the file explorer on Windows Vista or later. On the Mac, the built-in "Archive Utility" doesn't implement this, but the built-in command line tool (unzip) does. On Linux unzip also works just fine, as does PeaZip. This is not a bug with the zip file.

even though the standalone software is able to decompress the game, the itch buildin decompression tool is not.

This causes the download from the itch app to fail and eventhought I like the game very much, it is too much hassle to go to the website version of itch, login there, download it, unzip it and then play, when most other titles here are simply click download in the itch app and paly it

it would be very kind of GrimDark, if he can use a supported compresion algorithm for releases im the future
