really liked the wobbly cables. that was a good choice. as someone, who loves narrative, I would have liked to get at least some tiny snippets of what the people were talking about, but maybe that was just not your focus.

Developer

I had some small dialog ideas and mumbling like voices to be added, but ran out of time. That definately would have added more “soul” to the game. Lots of ideas to have in the game and this time I managed to stay in scope and get something complete and able to submit to jam.

Thanks for playing!

This is a neat idea!

Thank you for playing it!

Really enjoyed your game. Imidiatly after theme announcement had a similar idea but didn't know how to implement it. Great implementation.

I am happy that you enjoyed playing my jam game! Thank you for playing!

I listed few ideas after the theme was released; I got most ideas for this one and did went with that.

Really enjoyed that, relaxing and easy to play. Found myself trying to beat my last score a good few times (only managed 5 :D ). I think controls would be improved by just using left click to pick up and drop - doesn't feel intuitive to 'drop' the cable into the socket. Would also maybe look at colouring the sockets to match the pop-up window. But minor points. Well done!

Those are some nice improvement ideas that I can keep in mind if I do some post jam update. My record has been 6 calls, the random call durations evens it out that it seems “maximum” when quickly tested every now and then.

I had also an interact label there that should have updated to reflect the “status” and tell what to do. Like when looking the wire it will be ‘Pick up’, when near the socket ‘Attach’ and so on. But unfortunately did not have time to do that.

Currently it allows to pick multiple wires at the same time for additional chaos :D

Thanks a lot for playing it and I am happy that you liked it!

took a while to understand but once you get it its kinda fun

Developer

Thank for playing my game, I hope you had fun!

I am sorry, but I don't get it. I had a pink + and an orange <... when we plugged pink + to < port a red flash happened... and that's it. Maybe a little tutorial on your page description would help?

Developer

Okay, maybe you had other wires connected at the same time that caused it OR then there was a bug for that combination for some reason. I will try to check if I can reproduce that kind of bug and patch it after jam.

I thought to not have too much instructions for simple jam game like this so that player can have fun when trying to find the logic how everything works. Unfortunately the issue you was having was not a great experience.

Thanks for playing!

Ok, I didn't get that I had to disconnect all other cables... now that I know it works, nice game :)

A neat idea with some not so easy to execute mechanics. I had a difficult time trying to connect the wires, but your game is one of those games where you just don't want to give up. I hope you continue to improve the game. Congrats on it!

I like the idea of the phone call connecting and it was high on my list to do. I liked how you mark what needs to be connected. It was not 100% clear what gives point and the controls where complicated for this. I had esp in the beginning issues hitting the socket. Thanks for the game.

Developer

More instructions might be nice, but I think it was a jam game where part of the fun is to find how everything works. And I had not enough time to improve on that part. Good idea to improve that in possible post-jam version. One idea was to put a character model t o the game so that it could actually show hand where the wire is. And when attaching or deattaching, it would show some animation to do it. But I’m happy that I could do this is in that limited time I had available, about 20 hours.

Thanks for playing!

Its a great start, and better to keep the scope limited and submit than to plan too much and never being able to finish. .. When I brought up the idea to my wife she was instantly about listening into conversations and getting stories of ppl talking to each other ... And I had to tell her the Jam ends in this year.. not in 1-2 years...

An interesting game.  With only 90 seconds, the rounds are pretty short, but it was interesting enough to want to try to play multiple times.

Some of the things I noticed was leaving the cord plugged in and not releasing it would give you more points than unplugging the cords quickly, so you would get a better score only plugging in once, and removing just before the timer expired.

Also the game starts with a few chords plugged in, which sometimes interferes with plugging another chord into another spot, but sometimes doesn't.  I had multiple times attempting to plug a cord in and it being rejected, and having to remove the other cords for it to count as a correct connection, but that did not always happen.

It was sometimes a little awkward plugging the cord in, because the mouse cursor didn't align with where the cord head was.

There were a few issues with the direction the screen was facing a few times.

Despite those issues, it was still an interesting game to try out

Thank you for the game!

Thanks for trying the game!

Nice find for the better score bug! :D Did not have to test it so much in edge cases or glitching. I keep that in mind if I have time to update it after jam.

I was in a little hurry and did not have enough time to write some kind of story to it. Like, you have 90 seconds because you have to help some friend of yours and there is already some wires connected -> remove them before going further etc.

It was on purpose that the cord was not in the middle and it can get in awkward angles to get the wire plugged in. Idea was to have only one wire to accepted to be connected at any time, but obviously not so working solution at the moment.

Direction of the screen? I will need to see if I can see any weird things with that too.

Thanks for long and thorough response!
