Really fun game! A bit tricky to understand at first, but once it clicks, it's really cool. Wasn't sure hot to beat it, but I did make a bunch of flashlights and sticks and had a great time. Great mechanics and a nice soothing atmosphere. Thanks for sharing!
Nice mechanics! Even though it was explained, it took a few seconds to understand how to place the turrets and the connections, but it was really neat! Good job!
An enjoyable game, with interesting mechanics. Well done!
This is really neat!
I'm glad it's not too punishing because I played terribly and still managed to defeat Him!
It can be a bit tricky to align the point you're building from with the cursor. Not usually a problem, except when an enemy is slipping through and you (I) panic.
I love the searchlight range of the defenses. And the simple, effective resource gathering.
Sounded excellent and was pretty fun to play. Took a few attempts before I learned what exactly I needed to do but overall fun.
This was fun! It took me a minute to get the hang of it, but once I figured it out, things started to flow. Well done!
Oh, this was fun, I love a good tower defense and yours had a nice unique feel to it. It was pretty obvious to me what made the big guy spawn, so after my first run failed, the second time I saved up a surplus to get ready and absolutely unload on him. Maybe if he spawned based on a timer, the player would have some harder choices to make whether they want to invest early in economy or defense. Also I loved your choice of music. Nice work, I had fun here :)
Really good input! So maybe having a looming progress bar that signals him could be nice
I already felt during the jam that the balancing and flow could have been adjusted even more, I should have done more diverse playtests probably
Nice work! The game's visuals are pretty neat, and the overall presentation feels polished. Once I started getting into the gameplay, I found it genuinely fun.
That said, it took me quite a while to understand the game loop, and honestly, I'm still not sure if I fully understand everything yet. I think adding a bit more explanation about the core gameplay loop on the game page would help a lot and make it easier for new players to get into the game.
Still, I really liked the overall vibe and presentation, and I'd definitely give it another shot after reading more about how the mechanics work. All in all, great work!
that was a perfect game for a game jam entry. played it once, failed but learned the mechanics better. played a second time and optimised the crap out of my system and showed that big little bugger what's what. the total package with great visuals and atmospheric music.
you should really promote your game a bit more, because it's criminal that you only have 4 ratings so far. did you join the gamedev.tv discord channel and posted your entry there? it also really helps to leave a lot of comments on other people games as there's a certain reciprocity there in checking out each others games (that's how I found you here, despite following you)
this means a lot, thank you!
I did post in the discord but I think it got lost in the promotion avalanche...
Definitely planning on playing and rating more in the coming days :)
I loved this game! Great job!
This was fun! The final base I finally killed the big guy with was probably overkill but it was satisfying. Great job!
This was great! Got destroyed the first time by the boss lol but annihilated em the second time. Also it was really cool to hear the adaptive music with connecting new nodes! Well done
Really cool game! Loved the visual style, and the core mechanic feels great to play. GG!
