Why do some many devs in this jam want to give me a psychological beating?

This just hurts. Specially the bits about LinkedIn being obsessed with "experience". Anecdote: I once saw a job offer that required 5 years of experience on a version of Java that came out in 2022. Either CEOs no longer care about reality or that company is based on Venus, where years are shorter.
 

A delightfully bleak and depressingly accurate game. The easy restart had me looping upwards of five times, each time thinking about what I could do differently, but of course that never ended up mattering. Each replay was just another roll of the dice, nothing more. All in all a deeply sobering and genuinely relatable experience.

Wonderful writing! Love that everyone gets very similar experiences, considering almost all of us have been trapped in the infinite job search grind at some point in our lives, no matter who we are or where we come from. Really depressing at some points, same as real life. Great work overall!

I love a good Twine game, those are always fun. 

Of course, as with many games in this jam (because of the nature of the jam) this one is DEPRESSING. lol It took me right back to the days of trying to search for my first job and flailing. Its not easy and "the market" doesn't help.

I did like, though, how your game went over the various ways in which it really CANNOT work. You brought up a lot of terms to teach others about the ouroboros of "the search" and the futility of the "helpful opportunities" that exist. The randomness of why you're doing this is a nice touch and reflects real different situations. 

You put a good amount of work into this and should be very proud! It's visceral but well done. 

Thanks for making the game, we need more like this!
