Very creepy and interesting game! I played some of it on Youtube:
VISUALS ARE ON POINT STORY IS ON POINT. GOOD JOB!
Now I must be part of a data center and give me brain to the hiveAI
Very creepy, a little challenging, and exactly the right messages for the jam. I liked the hopeful ending. (I donβt want to spoil it for anyone else.) It was a neat mechanic to avoid looking at the content to not be hurt by it, and I kind of felt like a Ghostbuster.
Thanks for the kind words.
I didn't notice that the protagonist looks a lot like a Ghostbuster, most of her design was made to hide the fact I suck at drawing (baggy clothes for not drawing anatomy, mitten-like gloves for not drawing hands).
Loved it! Such a complete game! Great aesthetic, levels and nice sound work. Fits the theme perfectly. I especially appreciated the parallel between fighting those brainrot degenerate figures and how we consume data. Well done!
Great game that fits the theme perfectly through the subject of AI. Intro, levels, transitions, a boss, outro, autosave and settings... well balanced and polished, congrats!
Very well done. Strong sound design and effects work. I could see this being one of the top entries in the entire jam!
You've done it again. I remember your game from last year and it really set the mark for me concerning what this Jam is about.
Did I learn something? Am I looking at something in a new way/ Do I feel activated?
And you hit it out of the park again this time. Just skirting the edge of "What am I doing?!" and "Oh, I totally got this!" and "OH NO A THING!!!" lol. Good tension set up about what's really at stake when it comes to what AI does. I know people who spend entire weekends with AI like it's a fireside chat - and it's not even for content. They're just producing things that make their lives measurably worse and they don't even realize it. And it's not hyperbole, when you start fighting back against the real world because it doesn't align with AI answers there's a problem.
And again, you measuring out the story of it all for those interested but also the gameplay for those interested in that is great design.
Please send this game to those AI-addicted people you know.
It probably won't do much, but it will be funny.
this game really shines by its atmosphere, the audio work in particular is really great at moodbuilding. Loved the interweaving of the kids AI content in the middle of the "dungeon". I wonder if the dungeon section could serve as an illustration that the parent is so busy just surviving in capitalism that they ended up resorting to slop for their kid. I do love "content" displayed as a mythical lovecraftian force, but I think there's one important caveat missing: the humans yearn for Content, created it and demand more.
Maybe it'll be at the end though I'm still making progress through the game I'm just really bad at it xD
