Wowza, I really like the movement and concept. It was so cool learning you could jump while powered off, and at first I thought the fire extinguisher was dumb and the the next like 4 levels made me think it was awesome. I love almost all the levels, but in the last few levels I felt like I was just trying to precisely click so that I could fit through a few holes. Still, really good game design overall. I don't know the limitations of Pico, but if possible I also would've loved a level select! I also saw you say time was a limit and I would love if you added a bit more to the game (like sound) after the jam is over, I would probably replay it every once in a while if it had sound and level select honestly, the movement is just really fun!

Hi, I’m glad you liked the game!!! To answer your question a level select is super possible, and I’ll probably add sound eventually. I had tons of ideas for items but unfortunately only had time to implement the fire extinguisher, so I’ll probably work on the game for a bit after the jam is over

I was wondering why I up arrow would power me down until I played the first level.

Interesting usage of one jump and no move control over the movement but over the bounce and also cool graphcis

Developer

The idea was that the inventor (Mister Marvin) accidentally mapped power off and jump to the same input (thus making you your own enemy), idk if I made it clear

Very nice concept, and well done with Pico8. I like how the tutorial is progressive, and it doesn't load everything at you at once.

Like it let's you try the game a bit, then tells you about the offline jump just when you need it. Well executed!

Developer

Thank you! This was something that I put alot of thought into, so I'm really glad you noticed!

Super cool game- love the mechanics! REALLY gets you working, especially all the dammm spikes. Wish there was more music and sfx. Nice work.

Developer

Thank you for playing I`m glad you enjoyed it! Unfortunately I wasn`t able to add everything I wanted to and sound is definetly one of those things. Maybe on my next game I`ll focus on it

That's probably the smartest game I saw to overcome pico limitations. The jumping mechanic is well implemented and I hnestly didn't think you culd do this kind of thing with this engine. Great result, congrats.

Developer

Thank you!!! I`m glad you enjoyed the game. Honestly time was a way bigger limitation than pico8 lol

An unbelievable amount of content! The level design is really well done!!! Super high quality.

the pixel art it's good but the game it's hard

I really like the art and especially the controls! I guess the limitation should have been more present, though

Developer

Thank you! The limitation was like - since you're turning yourself off, you are the enemy

Yayy love fantasy computers-based games !! And love the simple-efficient-funky concept too !! Great job !! PS: (is it me or is there no sound in the game ?)

Hi! Thanks for playing I’m glad you enjoyed it! Yeah unfortunately I didn’t have the time to add audio :/

This was my first jam, it will definitely be something I’ll focus on in the next jam.

It was really fun and intuitive. I loved the fast pace of the early levels.

The concept is very interesting, the simplicity of the graphics also drew me in.

The mechanics with the fire extinguisher is absolute peak

I think the use of the limitation is a bit dubious, but the overall concept of the is pretty good.
I was surprised with how many levels you could make for such a simple.
