Use of the limitation
You're a possessing force trying to control an unwilling puppet. They resist — literally. Every limb has a spring that pulls back toward neutral, and the closer you get to breaking them into position, the harder they fight. You don't get control handed to you. You take it against active opposition. The will meter belongs to them, not you. They start strong. You wear them down. Even when you win a round, they recover some of what you took. The lose screen says "They held on." Not "you failed." They get the agency. You get the blame. The limitation didn't just inspire the theme; it built the mechanics.

Super cool interpretation of the limitation, I really like it! I wish there was more story, and maybe more doll-like features? Despite some limbs being in place, I found that I would still lose.  Other than that, super cool, I LOVE the in-depth explanation of the use of the limitation. Nice work.

Thank you for your feedback :D

Nice game, but I think the controls should stay visible during gameplay. I couldn’t really check them while playing, so it was a bit hard to remember what to do

Having a small controls panel on screen, or a pause menu with controls, would help a lot

This is my first ever game jam, so if you have time, I’d really appreciate a rating and any feedback on my game too: /jam/mini-jam-212-control/rate/4654714

Yep noted! Having control panels will definitely make it better. Same pinch, its also my first game jam. I played your game (sooo muchh fun) and left feedback but the comment is yet to be posted(the site said it needs to go through a moderator)

Thank you so much, I really appreciate it! And congrats on your first jam too, that’s awesome

I’m glad you had fun with my game. No worries about the comment, I’ll check it once it appears after moderation

Good luck with the jam!

Controls were weird at first, but when I took a second to look at it, it made a lot more sense. Left and right limbs on the left and right side of the keyboard, clever! I was able to also move the head while moving other limbs, pretty smart controls.

Honestly I was a little confused on the resistance part. The doll would shake after I moved some limbs into place, but they didn't spring back. I'm not sure what happened, or what is supposed to happen. I got to round 4, but I wasn't sure if I won or lost lol.

Cool game!

Hello

I don't know if this is specific to the browser version, but the limbs weren't resisting when I moved them. They would instantly snap to the target rotation, and after doing that with every limb, the game froze.

Developer(+1)

The resistance mechanism happens when you leave the key before the limb is in position. It tries returning back like a spring. After all limbs are snapped in the required position, there's the next round and slowly you take over the puppet in round 4 or so. But I will definitely check for any bugs that might be causing it to freeze. Thanks for the feedback ^-^

Amazing game. The controls were hard, but I think that's on purpose; I'm not sure.

But was it fun? YES! Great job!

Developer

Yeah,it's on purpose to give the player a sense of impeding room as the timer ticks away. But I still plan on easing the controls a bit by making some UI to display what keys rotate the parts in which direction. Glad that you had fun :D

This game is SO MUCH FUN! Great graphics and concept. It's really interesting, but the controls feel a bit uncomfortable.

Developer

Yep, i noticed that too. Will try to make them smoother. Thanks for your feedback <3
