the artstyle is really impressive, great work!!

(btw i think some sprites are on the same lyer as the player sprites, it makes them a little bit glichy)

The dialog was really funny imo and you nailed the gameboy look! I had to give up on beating the game tho because my character stopped shooting. its a shame cuz I was excited to see the ending lol. (Also did you have to make the robots spawn with invincibility in the boss fight :/ )

Very fun, it was a bit frustrating when the enemies would persist for a few frames, leading me to die, but otherwise, loved the style and the humor.

بصراحة من افضل الألعاب التي جربتها وهي مضحكة بعض الشيئ،شكرا لكل شخص صوت لي

Submitted(+2)

I love the art style! Lowkey a rage game, I kept dying, and the enemies would be alive for like 2 frames longer that I killed them, which allowed them to shoot me... Super cute tho and polished, I absolutely love the dialogue, and I was crying when I accidently shot the old man! Great work!!

Developer(+1)

Thanks Zitian! Yeah I realized I think the enemies were a bit too difficult, I felt like it made it harder for people to enjoy the dialogue and story... Thanks for sharing! It brings me joy to hear someone talk about the old man lol

The retro visuals are fantastic, just like classic Game Boy games.

This game looks super cute and I really want to try it out, but I can't seem to get past the first dialogue with any buttons...  ( IT o TI ) what's the control?

Developer(+1)

Hi ZITIAN! The controls are WASD for movement and J to interact/talk/jump, and K is shoot. Or you can use ARROW KEYS for movement and Z to interact/talk/jump, and X to shoot.

If it's still not working, you may need to click into the game window with your mouse. Thanks for playing!

This is my first time participating in a game jam and making a game, and I'm wondering why I only have one review when every other game at this jam has a ton.

Submitted(+1)

It doesn't look good to say this, I notice you've copied this comment across multiple games... sometimes it's just the luck of the draw. If this is your first, surely it won't be your last! Maybe you just need some experience.

Submitted(+1)

I copied it to get more comments and the game just didn't get many downloads and visits, and that doesn't depend on quality.

Submitted(+1)

It's okay, sometimes it doesn't work out- there are many people who don't find much success in their games when submitted to a game jam. I'm sure you'll do better in the future, and if not have better success with this jam soon!

"I think she wants me"

Immediate 5 stars

I had fun with this game. The art remains consistent throughout. It gives a nice atmosphere.

I think the movement can feel even more snappy with less inertial, so the player experiences less sliding. But it's really fun to play through nonetheless.

Funny with good art. Nicely done!

The presentation is top notch! It's smooth, charming and actually fun to play.

The only gripe I have is that there's not much use of the limitation.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback Schnodel!

I can(t move and do anything , how I can play?

Developer(+1)

You have to click with your mouse onto the game window. The controls are in the description! Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

the game is very hard I can't finish the first level

Developer(+1)

thanks for the feedback walid

5 stars on presentation because of the trashcan fall. Walking robots are unpredictable though, and horizontal flying ones have a bs hitbox!!! Oh and the key to shoot is wrong, it says L but its actually K

Thanks! Will fix the description now!

Good little game, visuals sound and dialogue was also a plus. Well done

The vibes of old platforms are strong, really seems an old gb game.

The robots are pesky, they keep following me and I loose too many lives.

Developer

Thanks for checking out my game! I'll admit the AI was pretty hard for us to code, thanks for the feedback!

I really love the game’s art style, and the music choice is great too.

Outstanding visual, colors give me some matrix vibes. Also very nice catchy dynamic gameplay, especially like this run physic, i found it pretty fun!!! Good work!

Awesome jam entry! The Game Boy / retro aesthetic is beautifully done, and the software choices (gb studio, aseprite) really fit the vibe perfectly. The gameplay is smooth, and you nailed the jam theme. Left you a maximum rating!

I would really appreciate it if you could check out and rate our terminal horror game "SIGNAL-66: Bunker Survival" as well! It strictly follows the "ONE scene" limitation and has a thick atmosphere: https://levachaikaa.itch.io/signal-66-bunker-survival

Good luck on the jam, mate! You did a fantastic job! 🦾🚨
