I know this might be a really stupid question but I've ascertained that you can sometimes collect tiles from the creatures and that you might have to match them? , but I really can't work out what the symbol messages are *cries*

try to collect 3 and the same, and match them with the locked door, pay attention to the doors unlocking when you have 3 of the same symbols :) good luck it's a puzzle
