I'm having a hard time thinking of a response that isn't just a complaint that the beginning was made on a whim because the reader needed a yapping of context, backstory, and a reason to care about the characters. But thanks for giving it the chance regardless! Every jam I've done so far has made me focus too much on a specific part of development, and I tried switching it up with writing and art, but then it became a lot of writing, which was a first. Not much else to say, but yeah, it would be a great help to have an editor, but I feel a bit shy to ask, especially for volunteering, because I don't really have funds to do so, nor do I know proper rates.
