I love adding the "don't make objects fall and wake the ghosts!" It adds tension through making the player try to be quiet, and it's very cat-like :) So cute and fun! Great job!

Thank you for playing & glad you enjoyed it!

Very cute little game! I cleaned up all the spiders, though it took a few tries. I do wish that there were more contrast between the books and the wallpaper since they blended into each other. I found myself wanting to be able to drop down through platforms as well.

Thank you for playing! The book was supposed to be a placeholder & we intended to add a lot of other items. Definitely planning on updating this!

Oh my goodness! You’re a cat and you can meow. What more do you need in life?

Jokes aside, a lovely and creative game! I ended up just trying to avoid the ghosts and take the path of easiest resistance since dying feels a little punishing. I think having checkpoints, or seeing the score at the end of the game, would be good since that would encourage playing better! But it was still fun, and your cats are all so cute!! ^^

Thank you for playing and appreciate your feedback! We originally intended to have the ghosts chase you if you woke them but ran out of time. None of us had programmed anything before this game but hopefully we can make some updates as we learn more, once voting is over!

Whoa! For a game where you’re all new to programming this is a fantastic start. Keep going!! From one game dev to another hehe :3

Thank you so much!!

the cat and the whole environment are really cute and matched. I like the idea of collecing the spiders and dont throw books at the ground, also the hint text in the beginning on the shelves where a good idea. The one thing what confused me was the frame arrounf the movement note which made broke a bit of the athmosphere but for the 48 hours a really great job and idea

Thank you for playing! We definitely wanted to do a lot more with the game; turns out 48 hours is not a lot of time. :)

There seems to be a browser (or maybe monitor?) bug where the game is opened in a larger window and the frame doesn't stretch around it as intended. In that case it should be possible to manually resize the window. I just added a note in the description so hopefully people see it before playing.

There’s a gray square in the middle of the screen that seems misplaced to me.

I’d recommend making the jumps progressive or allowing you to choose the jump power to improve jump accuracy. Otherwise, it’s good…

Thank you for playing and appreciate the jump recommendations! None of us had any programming experience before this so everything in the game is what we learned this weekend. :) After the voting is over, we may go back and update a few things as we learn more!
