genuinely great game, very satisfying gameplay loop (hitting perfect vents feels nice), very enjoyable experience overall. Bravo. (I reached the centre of the earth after 19 drills.)

Such a fun and engaging game. I did a quick recording of my gameplay in case it helps out: ZHERLO by Urcra | Cap Recording

Graphic style/shader was awesome, audio design was smart while diving differentiating between perfect/good hits and also the low hum getting faster and faster as you picked up speed.

I liked all the small polish touches like the outside of the screen flashing for a perfect click. A very impressive game to make in under 3 hours, with a full upgrade system and engaging story/milestones!

One small thing I made a comment on was not being able to take in much of the screen while diving, as I had to stay locked on to the PSI gauge, and found it hard to shift focus and try see how deep I was or how far I had left to go.

Thanks so much for the feedback, was super fun seeing somebody else playthrough it also :D.

I did start noticing how hard I also had to focus on the PSI meter while descending but I didn't have time to fix it so I just had to commit to that, afterwards I was thinking that maybe the PSI should have been a bigger element of the main screen so it's always visible perhaps some part of the drill.

And as you also figured out the fuel didn't end up doing much, it was initially added to prevent the gameplay of venting the PSI as soon as possible all the time. But I didn't really think the upgrades through that much for the fuel so it quickly disappeared as a mechanic. If I had some more time I would probably have tuned it more.

really fun I wanted to play more after finishing! the PSI sfx got a little annoying after a few runs and it felt like I was just playing the PSI game and I couldn't look at the drill or environment though

Developer

Yeah it started out as mainly almost a "rythm "type game with the PSI. So I wasn't really sure how to give people time to look around while doing the descent, I tried to change it a bit but then it felt too easy like there was nothing to do in the descent. But good shout about the SFX think my ears just tuned it out at the end after having heard so much it while developing xD

Clever concept with a satisfying execution!
The only critique I have is the flash when you hit perfect does get annoying after a while.
