Gonna be honest, this one isn't for me. The premise is passable, a group of college students sneak into the college after dark and see some spooky bullshit. It's not particularly original but it's fine. These kinds of stories are usually carried by the friend group and their interactions, and I think that's where it unfortunately fell flat for me. I don't know any other way to say it more kindly, but the humor just isn't very good. Many of the jokes just fell flat or even made me cringe. The constant jokes also felt like they took away a lot of the horror and drama from the plot. The writing was kinda aimless, written like a stream of consciousness, and it ended up distracting me from the story pretty often with how often the MC chimes in with a silly joke or observation. There were some moments where the story didn't really flow naturally, such as Marcus and the umbrella backstory. That kinda got plopped into the middle of the story and didn't seem to serve an actual storytelling purpose. What I did like though was the brief scene where they fell into the witch's trap. The sudden red screen and movement was sufficiently spooky. This leads into an intriguing narrative hook, which makes me wonder who the witch is (I think Jane is a red herring and Luiz is the actual witch). Hope this continues, if only so I can get an answer to this.
