Looking for playtesters for browser based nation builder MMO

Been working on a browser based nation builder game designed for a very niche crowd, like Politics & War and Torn type players. Started in April 2025 and it's slowly coming to fruition.

Right now it's in pre-alpha and I'm looking for people willing to play it even for a short time and share their opinion. It's still in development so it can be slow, but the point of pre-alpha is to get feedback on the look, features, and any bugs you find.

This is a text based game meaning no animation, not a video game per se, hence the niche crowd disclaimer.

"Game: Thronestead

Date: 30 June 2026

Hi! I'm a new game tester and I tested Thronestead today (30 June 2026). Here is my honest feedback:

✅ Positives:

Homepage design is beautiful and medieval theme is very consistent

Google signup works well as an alternative

7-day protection period is clearly explained during signup

Bottom navigation (Home, Kingdom, Military, Trade) looks clean and well organized

Developer's welcome message for testers is a nice touch

🐛 Bugs Found:

Bug #1: After Google signup, game tried to connect to thronestead.com:8080 but showed ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT error

Bug #2: After entering the game, "Loading your profile" and "Royal Identity Loading" screens get stuck and don't complete

Bug #3: Email signup goes back to previous screen after clicking Create Account button — no error message shown, very confusing

🐛 Bug #4: After signing in successfully with Google, game redirects to thronestead.com:8080 which shows "This site can't be reached — ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT" error. Game becomes completely unplayable after login on mobile browser.

"Bug #5: After filling all details and clicking 'Raise the Banners / Create Account' button, the page goes back to the previous screen instead of creating the account and entering the game. The account creation doesn't seem to complete successfully."

💡 Suggestions:

Email signup form has too many fields (Email, Password, Kingdom Name, Ruler Title, Motto, Political Stance, 2 checkboxes) — feels very long for new players. Consider simplifying it or making Google signup more visible

The default motto "Per aspera ad astra" is Latin — non-English players won't understand it. A simple English default would help

Game has come a long way in the last 90 days. I hope you have a chance to stop back in and check it out.

Hey! I gave Thronestead a try. I really like the ambition behind building a browser-based nation MMO — there are a lot of systems here and I can imagine how much work went into putting everything together.

I’m working on a browser game myself, so I know how difficult projects like this can become once all the systems start connecting 😄

Keep going with it and good luck with the development! I’ll be interested to see how it evolves.

Thank you - The game has been a long journey and with luck a release ready version will be done by late to end of year. It is at a point it is no longer what can be added to the game and more UI/UX fixes, debugging, stability and balance. As you know debugging is still a nightmare, fix one bug break something else.

Best of luck in your game :)

After a 15 day pre - alpha, 30 day Alpha and will be a 90 day BETA so far, I am pushing hard to get the game to a releasable permanent world for players to be able to enjoy the game. I hope everyone will come help test it in the final days of the BETA and get your ideas as part of the game as we are still looking for help testing features and Roleplaying ideas.
