collecting the $ triggers my monkey brain but  it hurts me when I can't get them all lol

Overall, the game works within its premise, it has several different track mechanics, and I found the whole idea quite fun, especially the water track.

I stopped playing after I had no fuel left (after I reached the Cash objective of the 4 unlockable levels). Level 5 is the only unlockable level where I managed to reach the Time objective over this timespan, which is fine of course.

While the game stops looking like a NES game when you increase the size of the window the game could play exactly the way it does on a console and I would still say it would look sort of kind of like it looks anyway. The Curse mode is a cool twist, the game gets really fun as you get there.

Thanks for sharing!

5/8 of the cursed objectives is actually nuts. Well done!

The title screen art sold me on the concept, so I had to try it out :-)
Fun overall!
The controls feel a little sluggish though. There's seems to be some delay when you switch lanes before you can switch to another lane. Personally, I would like to switch between lanes freely. There were a good number of obstacle variations, but it seemed like there was no way to avoid them at times. Perhaps I was meant to go off-road to do that. If that's the case, it's counterintuitive because going off track typically slows you down in racing games.

Still fun to play though. It has potential :-)

I am glad you had fun. The sluggishness was intentional to make it feel more chunky. I do fear that your experience will be typical for the average person who tries the game. Each level is designed to be only 1 to 2 minutes long, but to learn them well and complete the challenges takes a lot of runs on each level to get a feel for them and I don't really expect most players to invest that much time.

Ultimately I am super happy with how it turned out, but next time I enter a jam I intend to focus more on a gameplay experience that can be optimally experienced in a much shorter amount of time lol

Even though it doesn't look too nessy for me, it does feel like a NES game, great job!

Thank! I tried some tricks to make it look nessy but I am no artist. I mostly was aiming at "complete game" and "NES Vibe", so I'm gonna count that as a win :D
