This is an interesting one. I found myself against the odds against the creature, and felt quite helpless, and there were a few times he scared the living crap out of me whilst I was inside the cabin. The first time was when I ran into his lovely arms, not suspecting a thing.
The checkpoint helped me out. I thought I had to redo all that sequence again, so I ran, grabbed the flashlight and keys, and it grabbed me through the bathroom wall. The level design is excellent, found myself exploring mostly.
After killing me a 3rd time due to no fuel in the car, I decided to even the playing field. Since I can’t outrun it, and he has long arms to grab me through walls. I just went and grabbed the gasoline can first, before it spawned in. That way, I can abuse his AI pathing and go straight to the car, surviving my 4th attempt.
