I WIN SCORE 016990 I got a strong combo where I would just deal a ton of damage, it was satisfying.
The game is great with perfect controls, a strong NES vibe and a strong implementation of theme, fleshed-out bosses and the right difficulty for the jam. The game looks and sounds great, I love Dracula and the music.
Thanks for sharing!
Fun entry!
Love the graphics here. nailed the NES vibe!
And the curse mechanic on relics is also great, tho that can't be said about the controls, i think they should be worked on more
Thanks for playing and for the feedback! With the controls do you mean like the button layout itself, or more about how the player feels to control?
second
Yeah makes sense, seems to be a common thought. Wanted the game to feel kind of clunky like Castlevania, but with this style of game it could've been better to make it feel a bit more responsive and smooth.
Pretty fun game!
Admittedly, it took me until after the second boss to realise there was a dodge roll in the game.
Really enjoyed the rolling doing damage to enemy curse, and since I hadn't rolled up to that point, the downside didn't impact me at all. Was quite satisfying getting the timing of that right to roll through the boss while they're attacking and keeping the aggro.
The committal nature of the weapon at the start didn't feel great, but once I got some stuff to affect my attack speed the rhythm of combat flowed a lot better.
Well done!
I loved the audios and art here, but I found myself wanting the player controller to be more responsive. The attacks were slow enough that most of the time I could move out of the way, but the pacing gave me little sense of urgency—a feeling that I'd normally associate with boss rush situations. Really cool concept though! Some of the cursed relics were really creative.
pretty cool boss gauntlet! the kind of NES game you need to hand the controller to ur older brother to get past lvl 2 (i definitely got a bit frustrated with the movement in lvl 2 haha)
I liked it, but it didn´t seem very original to me.
The boss rush concept is super cool with the NES theme! The whole game itself was enjoyable however at times I did feel like the hit boxes were unfair (The Vampire bat attacks especially). Awesome Job!
Really nice concept. Looks great, and really fits the theme
When I saw boss rush in the description I knew I had to try this one out. I like that the bosses had a variety of attacks and actually had warnings for the moves they were using. Also the upgrade system was cool and I got pretty overpowered by the end. Fun game!
Fun game! I was able to win the final round. Meteor + Double Damage is very powerful. I didn't really use the roll much, but the jump dodge was quite useful on the vampire fight. Graphics are very nice and NES-feeling!. Music was also great, but I have to say that the results screen music didn't feel very NES-y
This game is really fun! the roguelite elements on the NES are really cool thing, i think it have a lot of potential to grow! Keep up the good work :)
