I reached the third area (where you need 10 happy people) during my last run. The game is long, dying is one hit is no joke, the game sure is tense, but the difficulty of the sequences is adequate. Walking and crawling speeds could maybe be swapped. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for playing.  Swapping the walking and crawling speeds is something I will consider for sure for the full release.

A very cool idea and take on the theme! There were some frustrating elements that were annoying gameplay wise such as the slow player movement and the very fragile player character. However I do think tweaking them a little bit could serve to be used to build the players agency. Awesome Job!

Developer

Much appreciated.  Thanks for playing.  I will consider what you have said here.  Especially since other players seem to agree.

Good structure here! I like the idea of an average guy venturing out into a cursed world.
I think the walking speed was too slow, it takes too long to get from one screen to another. There was also a screen transition bug where if I jumped while on a high ledge, the screen would fully transition upwards and then immediately transition back down.
I loved the crouch walking animation!

Developer

Thanks.  I really appreciate the feedback here.
That's not a bug there.  When a player goes up it transitions to the sky and goes back down to the previous room.  That's on purpose.   Also, a bunch of players mention the character moves too slow, but the thing is, if I speed up the character it would break how I purposely built the game.
Thanks for trying it out though.  I am glad when people play the games I make.

Of course! I checked out your other stuff and it's really cool, it's obvious you've got passion and knowledge for retro games. Looking forward to seeing what you make next!
